A CD player is standard, those options are just for uprated head-units and speakers afaik. Look closely at the list and its only climate and zenons that have been deleted, none of that other stuff was standard on the FF 182 apart from the silly auto stuff. I think I might be right in saying that...
Got the same situation with mine, got one decent one and the rest are looking forward to a refurb in the future. Easy to get pics of decent wheels though as you say, just pick the right one... ;)
Two issues I see here...
1) People are comparing the full 197 price with what you can realistically get other cars for. Yes you can get an ST for £15,500, but list with met is £17,870 (or over £18k in Orange) and the option list is just as extensive and expensive. Apply the sort of discount...
...and where are the seats mentioned in Top Gear?!
I'm glad most are extras to be honest, I hate auto-wipers and lights so the chance to not have it is a blessing, and there isn't anything else there I would want.
Any pics? Nearly did this myself as I have Mondial ready to do a Strut Brace soon too. Couldn't decide if it would look good or not though, I kinda like the slight variation.
Yep they painted the side-strips in matt blue as standard. Try getting an effing paint code for it from Renault though, they don't believe anything but Mondial Blue is used on the Cup!
25c?! Bah, don't need any of that AC crap, just makes work on certain things in the engine bay harder, increases fuel consumption and makes things feel really hot when you get out. Tiny gap in the windows are good enough for me, I try to avoid motorways in the summer though, made that mistake...
Around 7pm this evening near my house in Westbury, pass a young lady driving a Silver Cup, looking very nice (the car, of course)
What is it with these silver ones? 1 in every 4 Cups I see is Silver, I thought there were only 100 or so of the damn things!
Yeah I've never understood the thing with top speed, how many people ever get near it?! As long as its still going well past 110 without any trouble it will never have a problem on track.
Top Gear have a feature on the 197 this month. Not sure if its news but apparently Recaro race seats will be an option, not 182 Trendline's, but full-on single piece glass fibre efforts.
Seems a little extreme, I remember the initial 172 Cup brochure had stuff about uprated brakes, roll-cages...
It was offered for a while, around the time the Silver one came out (Summer 2003?)
Some have 3 legal rear seats instead of the usual 2 as well, not sure how that came about.
Aircon...and uprated stereo?! That's not a Cup ;)
Looking real nice though. Wish my justmatz were still like that, 12 months of use has not been too kind.
I thought the Trophy/Vee spoiler only had an issue with the aerial as the back-side of it isn't any different...?
Bit off topic, but I'm just thinking how good would the Megane F1 wheels look on that?! Not sure of stud-pattern etc but if it goes I would love to see it.
I get it a lot but never take the bait and therefore rarely have any problems. I just slow down if they start getting up my ass, they either back off or overtake when its safe usually, couldn't care less if that means they've "done me", I value my life and license.
Occasionally it gets a bit...
Opposite is happening here, I used to see 2 Cups every day but they've both sold up now. Think about how many Renaultsports have been sold they aren't that common on the road really, quite a few 182s but 172 numbers seem to be dwindling a bit.
Compared to something like the Civic Type R...
Great locations they've chosen, particuarly good if you want to bomb round the M25. Surely you would have to fill up a few times to see any gains from it though...?
Anyone else see this? Sunday Times put surveillance on the new £2.42 Ultimate 102 stuff, the only guy in a day to use it was a Willy owner! Got a nice big pic of him sat in his car.
Went for a drive after giving S25 its weekly clean today, unfortunately it started raining so my ideas for countryside pics suffered a set-back. Decided to get some standard shots and have a little play with some Photoshop filters etc instead, pretty pleased with the results...
Yep, I know you are supposed to do things the other way round but the Digital SLR just wasn't for me. I prefer the compact nature of my FZ20, goes everywhere with me and I hardly notice it, no lenses to carry round or anything.
I'm sure if I had put the effort and money in then an EOS would...
That looks stunning, matches the rest of the interior really well. Although I wouldn't have it any other way my Cup looks positively cheap compared to that!
Just a bog-standard Panasonic FZ20 point and shoot, its been superseeded by the FZ30 now so you can get them for about £290. I'm just using it straight out of the box, no additional lenses or anything apart from the Nikon 6T for Macro stuff, I just use a 62mm adaptor and bolt filters on (usually...
Its a Nikon 6T Macro lens, cost me about £40 iirc on Ebay from Hong Kong. Just attaches to my camera via a £10 adaptor I already had for my filters (62mm). Its hard work but you get some incredible results from it.
Thats the thing, the initial 350D cost is do-able, its just all the lenses that you end up wanting to buy that usually cost the same again if not more.
Pretty happy with my setup though, I did have additional wide and telephoto lenses but found them surplus to requirements really. I found a...
Stunning detail, you're getting a level of quality I'm really struggling to achieve now, especially on things like the individual cat hairs (car looks great too btw!). Need an SLR but finances say a definite no.
I did the whole flowers and cat thing recently too...
No its too far and awkward to get to for my liking. VUE Longwell Green, Showcase Avon Meads or Bath Odeon are my regulars depending on whats on where. £6.80 at Odeon though, criminal, especially as my legs don't even fit in before the chair in front gets in my way, its worse than a long-haul...
