Need the cam locking tools There is some for sale atm actually. I guess your BF has never done a 2.0 clio before? You wont need to do the water pump though so don't worry about that (its actually run off the fanbelt)

Mine does that too. I guess its a poor seal 8mm square for the sump plug.

If you undo the 21mm bolt when the wheels on the floor then I found the shock doesnt spin. I always made sure that I loosed these 2 bolts first

The only that springs to mind about silicone is bathroom sealent and my mothers breasts Neither would be suitable for sealing an exhaust.

Someone I know from my area has a nova which makes a tad over 170db it was the loudest in country I believe but recently he got beaten by someone. This was only a "burp" system mind.
