Yeah sounds good, I'm pretty much free all weekend so whenever is fine.
Saw you today as well, you must have frickin night vision though, I didn't spot you till you flashed me...I've got new glasses too and can see silly distances these days!
By the by, we talking £15k or more for valeting...
I did see you today, I was too late to react though! Oddly enough I'd quite like to be a valeter, I know its not glamorous but I hate sitting at a computer being an office monkey all day, I even envy those guys who maintain the parks and things outside in the harsh winter!
The car park up by...
I think my missus has a picture of your car on her phone, it was the first racing blue she had seen and wanted to show me which Clio she wanted!
I think I seen you in Bath on Friday night actually, about 10:15pm near the Quasar car park (can't remember the proper name of it), I was walking...
Yes I went out to clean it yesterday but realised I left all my cleaning products at the missus place, I'm going to do it this morning once it gets above freezing.
I've seen a Cup on the West Wilts Trading Estate at that big TechPrep place near the Milk Factory, what do you do at Hatton...
Hardly any 172s on an 04 plate, most had been registered by Jan 04 at the latest as the 182 arrived around then, and it seems to be mainly Cups that were selling around that time anyway.
Whats your budget? If you do a search for a Renault Clio then add "172 Silver" you get loads of results on...
Nothing funny but I did have lots of fun when I rang around 15 or so Renault dealerships to get service quotes for my Cup. Most use your numberplate to generate a quote, but mine wasn't on their system as its a private CUP plate.
Can't remember exactly which branch this was but it went on...
Really?! Weird, I've never noticed before and I usually spot a Renaultsport a mile off. I finish work (Wilts College) at 5.15 so I'm always heading along there at 5.20.
Quite a few Cup owners give me a wave which I happily return, you were about the 5th in 6 months, its like a little club or...

Look under Renaultsport Clio, couple of pics of your car there. Quite unfortunate but quite cool at the same time!
Some massive pics here...

White Horse Business Park in Trowbridge this afternoon about 1:30, driving along in my own merry way and then some loon on the side of the road starts waving frantically at me (thought it was Omar at first!). I realise he is stood next to a 172/182 (think it was a Cup, could have been an Arctic...
I'd imagine one day the engineers at Dieppe will drop a V6 into a new shape Clio and see what they can do with it, even if its in their spare time just to see if its possible. I'm sure at least one will exist in the next few years, we can dream anyway!
Looking more closely at the pics they have all sorts of weird things
Er, red 172 with black bump strips and Turini's?!
I guess they are development cars etc, seems to be a Cup with Trophy Turini's on it as well, and I've spotted the uber-rare Petrol Blue 182 as well!
I was lucky with mine, home-run dealership (when I say home I mean mansion!) but the guy was spot on, he gave me the keys and told me to go out and make sure I was back within 45 minutes and not to get any speeding tickets! He was a Focus RS specialist and admitted straight away that he knew...
Every 172 I've driven has done this if its properly cold (not started for 6hrs+), stutters quite a bit even if you get near 3k, can't imagine how bad it must be if you floor it, I'd guess its not good!
If you let it run for around a minute before setting off its fine, if you don't and keep...

Suprised they haven't sourced all the parts before taking the customers car actually, I couldn't live that long without my motor!
I agree actually, I drove 1.2s until I was 22 then stepped straight up to a Cup, had I got the Cup straight away I think I would have written it off within 2 years. You do make mistakes (everyone does) especially in the first few years so anything to reduce the risk from those mistakes has got...
Can't believe you weighed it down with an engine cover ;)
Whats next, a magic tree?! Going to be stripping away seconds there, may as well have gone FF!
Serious now though, lovely looking Cup, only thing I would suggest is clear side repeaters, they were standard from 03 onwards iirc. >>>
Good stuff, thanks. Has pushed me over the edge I think, a 16V is certainly on my shopping list now, anyone want to part-ex with a Cup (under warranty!)?!
Yes

They email you when its done, haven't noticed it in the slightest though to be honest, I think its 8MB now, I signed up for 512k years ago and am still paying the same to this day, had about 5 upgrades I think.
If you ever see a V6 driving up a road with lots of peds about you will realise that its an event in itself. I've seen a few about and the amount of people that stop and look is incredible, it has a presence that a Skyline/Evo/Scooby etc can never have, and all for about £15k these days...
Wales is good for middle-aged lady Renaultsport drivers, I spotted 4 in one day once, not one of them utilising the power found in a 1.1 Fiesta, let alone a 2.0 Clio!
I assume the examples I saw got them because they have money and wanted the most expensive 4 seater Clio going, either that or...
I'm selling mine soon, almost identical by the sounds of things..Dec 03, CUP plate, 16k, extremely mint etc etc, and it will be about a grand less than that, £8900 seems waaaay to high.
Indeed, quite a few differences that often are not noticed when comparing a Cup with a FF...
Profile 3mm lower
Front bumper with additional lower section
Enlarged rear spoiler above hatch
Greater downforce
Revised suspension
Higher front spring rates
Firmer ride
Front track 20mm wider...
