Done a couple of jobs today, managed to polish a nasty scratch out from the rear quarter but more importantly sorted the headlights. Just the usual method of various grades of wet and dry followed by a machine polish with some compound and a final wax.

Not sure on the auto Scott, but my theory on autos that aren't modern is they're sh1t really! They do a V6 diesel with 180bhp that I considered but never driven any other apart from the aero, mine does high 30's mpg on a run so I can live with that. Loads of info on the Saab forums and there's a...
Yeah they changed the later ones and upgraded the breather system which this has had and has also been run on fully synthetic. There's receipts for the sump being removed and cleaned which is a good sign as it seems a common thing on the Saab forums. Gonna give it a full service shortly too...
Full spec is 2.3 4cyl petrol turbo 250bhp standard although this one has been remapped so should be 270-280 ish and 300lb/ft.
Has cruise, electric heated memory front seats, heated rear seats, dual climate, towbar, xenon headlights etc.
Didn't feel like it was as healthy as it should be on...
Was in need of another temporary estate car after I sold my E class recently do set about searching. As much as I'd like to emulate mike woodford with his E39 Touring they're just too far out of budget for the time being. 1st choice this time was an audi allroad until I started looking at Saabs...
Rear suspension can be troublesome as its self levelling with air springs, watch for leaks, lop sided at the back or flat on its @rse if the compressors goosed etc.

Fair enough, I looked for ages a few years back for a 530d manual but couldn't find one, ended up with a well spec'd 525d manual instead but was a bit gutless.
Russ
I think its going to be a different car IMO, less track orientated more road friendly with full interior more along the lines of a Clio Trophy so we'll see.
Russ
Don't agree with that really, it's not going to be as a specialist machine like the R26.r, they'll never make an R26.r successor as has been said before on here they really struggled to sell them as they were so specialist.
Russ
So on Facebook your calling it a race car, and its a track car on here, which is it Rob?! Race ya! Looking good though mate, be interested to know what a stripped and (properly) caged r26 weighs.
Russ
Awesome stuff mate.
1. I did my ards at Silverstone simply because they offered extra training and some interesting stuff to do on top of the test itself. Skid pan, caterhams etc all for a similar price to other places wanted for the standard test. The test itself 'should' be fairly standard...
It doesn't get driven been sat there like that for years, only round the corner from Colin's and I've been passed a few times as well and it's never moved.

Mini182, sort it out and get on the grid, if you need any help or advice send me a pm if you want.
Tony, I enjoyed the guided tour in quali, so much so I felt a bit guilty and let you by in race 2! Hope it goes well at Combe and I'll see you at Donny.
Russ
Looking really good mate, some really nice engineering going into it. Shame about the sodemo head, is there anyway you could get someone to 'copy' it using a standard f4r head and do all the machining etc on it or is a different casting etc?
Russ
Not touched it since Rockingham so fixed the alternator lead today that came off in the last race, the lug had snapped clean off the cable so crimped on a new lug with some heat shrink, cleaned everything up and refitted. Everything is all good.
Apart from that I just ran it up to temp and...
5?
I doubt the megane will be revolutionary, from the car that's been doing hard work at the 'ring lately it's still got full interior etc, guessing it'll be a tweaked 265 Cup with possibly a couple more horses.
