Them darn pushrods , good job it's a relatively easy job to change in-situ .
That's a common thing on C1J's isn't it ?
Well done for trying anyway .
What's the story with the tyres now then ? Sounds like they caused you no end of trouble on first outing.
She goes well for an old girl . Lol
Perfect timing for build when you get round to sorting the smoke .
Off topic : Myself and a few mates will be booking Snett for Nov/ Dec if you fancy it .
Was that , so you can't use standard Renault wheel nuts @Dr Jekyll .
I think where the wheels have now been machined , @Mash. Is able to get the standard wheel nut down onto the taper. I think now the issue is the socket is damn close in size to the width and is tight going in . "We all love a...

Last year at Snett , since then a few more bits have been added .
Roll centres , FGB lid , de-wire ,EPAS , TD's 1.2s , RS2 . Should be good from here on in [emoji1303]
I'm now looking at the sandwich plate route . I have one already on the car as I run an oil cooler .
Want to run an oil filter re-location kit also , so may look into having a plate with the holes for the sender units in that .
Did mine the other day while I was removing the pipes for the EPAS conversion . I would say it's not that hard , but deff fiddly . The heat shield under the manifold is a b*tch to get all loose to gain access.
A little advise : I only took out one long 16mm headed bolt (the bottom ones) and the...
Are all your pulleys clean and snag free on where it meets the belt ?
Also before you stripped it , did you run it without the six belt on ? Just to rule that load on the crank pulley out
40k , seriously . I wouldn't accept 40s of that noise . If all pulleys are replaced at time of belt change , then those can be ruled out as being nosey . If expect that noise to be arriving after 40k and it being a pulley at fault .
It is deff a tensioning issue . Are you using a genuine...
No it wouldn't have any affect on that noise because that is deff a to tight a belt .
Follow this procedure if it helps , make sure the tensioner is rotated the correct way .
Had the rack pipes out last night , and have cut the smaller pipes to just keep the unions .
Have filled them with tiger sealer and Bung / capped off for good measure .
Now with regards to the 2 larger holes from the high and low pressure pipes , I can confirm the sump plug does go in to...
I'd be swapping the switches out of another car first .
Could poss be a short in the switch , when the lights are on its powering the power circuit within the switch and
switches are cheaper than a UCH. Lol
