Thanks for all the responses. I feel none the wiser though, so many options. May just splash out, 12 swabs should last me bloody ages, only need to use one on the 350D then I can sell the thing! Will keep a look out for a Plastic spatula though!

So whats going on with it, is the buffer filling, noise reduction turned on etc?! If the shutter was going you'd see a nice line across your images.

Shoot in RAW and correct the White Balance after to fix the yellow. The 350D can also shoot much longer than 16 minutes, just needs to be enough battery.

I doubt you'd miss 55-70 anywhere near as much as you'd miss f/2.8! 15mm on the wide end is loads but nothing in this case...
