The DVLA/Law would say differently...
Number plates must be replaced if they have been customised with:
Stylised letters and/or figures such as italics
Number plate fixing bolts that alter the appearance of the letters and/or numbers
Got to say since my car crash last month I am dead against modifications to number plates, between getting over the impact and looking up to try and think straight enough to see the plate of the car speeding off in the distance, the last thing it needs is any sort of confusion. Its not something...
Initial cost isnt really a concern, but obviously the running costs of a 2.0l are going to be than that of the smaller engine whether I use the power or not, not to mention insurance.
Just thought a mid-range Sport model would be great, especially as Im currently weighing up between the 1.6...
Been looking into getting a 182 recently and thought I better check all my other options first. Although the 182 is incredibly well priced I noticed looking into other cars that Renault is missing a a mid-range "warm hatch" if you will. It jumps from the Dynamique 1.6 (110bhp, £10.4k) to the 182...
Group A here too (BA13, Westbury), although oddly based on quotes Ive been getting BA13 is still a few hundred quid more than BA14 (Trowbridge) on a 182, despite both falling in Group A.
Im going through the same as you POW_Clio, should be saving for a house with the girlfriend but even she is pushing me to get a 182 (or Puma Racing). She spoke sense (but then she would, she already has the car she has always wanted), said that whilst I have the chance I may as well get it, and...
As I said the images on the Renault site still show the Dynamique with the old front (and its clearly not been updated because they still have black bumpers) as youve shown above.
Im just going by what I was shown, and although I wasnt sure myself the Renault website itself clearly states "Cup...
Not according to the dealer and the Renault site itself, "Cup Front Spoiler" is the exact terminology used, and it looks identical.
I believe the rear spoiler is still the one found on my 03 Dynamique which is a bit shorter.

Bit confused with this, all new non RenaultSport Clios now have the Cup Front Spoiler apparently, to add to that the Dynamique has body coloured bumpers, mirrors and a "Sports Rear Spoiler", whilst the Extreme seems to get many of the sports bits too.
Does anyone have or have seen one of these...
Thats good, best I could find at my local was a black 172 with 26,000 miles on the clock, that was £10,000! 04 182s started at £13,000 with at least 3k on the clock, going up to 14k for the ex-demos. Oddly enough there is a gorgeous mint 225 in Inferno Orange for £15k with very low mileage, no...
I would think you would be better off stripping the mods and wheels and putting all the standard parts on. Firstly you will be getting extra for the bits seperate, and secondly Im sure Im not the only one who looks at a car modded like that and walks away immediately, it screams "ranted" at me...
If you look at the 182 options via the link above it says that the rears will be supplied as Graphic Night with no headrests when ordering the Recaro Pack, which I assume will match up with the fronts.
Around here (South West) its pushing £200 for a service (but saying that car prices seem to be higher in this part of the country too, so its not suprising) at a Renault dealer, £176 at Platinum Renault, £84 of which is labour.
You can save yourself some money though, supply the oil yourself...
Havent figured out the attraction of carbon bonnets yet, whats the point in making a car look as though its been in an accident and had the bonnet replaced at a scrapyard? I know they look cool to people in the know (the sort that hang out in McDonalds car parks mostly) but Ive never met a real...
Surely though, speed cameras both fixed and mobile should be clearly visable. I will admit to speeding, only on motorways and clear NSL roads mainly but thats no different to virtually everyone else in the country, but Ive never been caught.
My point is, from my experience getting caught...
Anyone noticed that the Cup Front Spoiler is now used on standard 2005 Clios (as well as Sport rear spoiler)? Everything from the Authentique to the Dynamiques get the new styling. That along with the fact that Met Paint also gets you colour coded bumpers these days means cosmetic differences...
Not forgetting the yellow I.D paint though, which is £1000 on top anyways, I would be suprised if anyone could track down one of those for less. I would say its a reasonable deal but I would have thought you could get a bit more for your current Clio, whats the mileage?
It looks much like the yellowish one here... http://www.renaultsport.co.uk/roadcars/cliov6/gallery.htmhttp://www.renaultsport.co.uk/roadcars/cliov6/gallery.htm
But Im sure its slightly more green than that. The Renault site doesnt even list the I.D paint schemes unfortunately.
There is an absolutely stunning V6 demonstrator at the huuuuge new Platinum Renault in Trowbridge, Wiltshire (just up the road from me), seen it out on the road once and it looks great. I was there today getting some alloys and it was still sat just outside the main doors. Obviously thats not...
The seller wouldnt be prosecuted because they arent illegal, much like neon underside lights, any sort of blue light on the car etc. All perfectly legal unless you head on to a public road.
Its not the sellers responsibility to ensure you are just using the car you fit them to as a track car...
I ordered a new wheel for my 03 1.2 16V Dynamique at my local Renault Franchise on Saturday, they took my reg and that brought all my details up, they didnt need to see the car as they knew which wheel was required apparently.
Anyways, the link below shows two pictures, the one on my left is a...
Must depend on where you are in the country I guess, my College car park has always been a good indicator of the trends amongst chav society and not a single 172 or 182 has passed through the car park since Ive worked there. Seen one or two VTRs and one VTS, but the Clios are generally modded...
Every manufacturer gets bitched about by its owners, more so it seems in the past 5 years or so because people b**ch online. Based on friends and work colleagues Renault is miles ahead of some of the stories Ive heard. My boss bought a new Citroen Zsara Picasso and within 4 months it had gone...
36k service at my local Renault Franchise is £330. When I was in there ordering my new alloy a guy was pretty peeved at the cost, apparently when he had his 18k it was £60 for the oil change. The woman explained that they use fully synthetic oil, which is why its so expensive.
Whe they announced the Micra base last year I figured it would lose the nice sharp drop at the back due to th extra length, but eeeuuuughhhh, its worse than I imagined. Its not even individual. One of the reasons I love my Clio is that it doesnt look like a Peugeot (which seem to account for...
I do 15,000k a year and Ive only ever seen one 182, racing blue with stripes in Bournemouth. Ive actually seen more MKII V6s, a lime green one locally (Wiltshire) and also a blue one nearer Bath.
Loads of 172s though, 2 I know of in my little home town to start with. All Arctic Blue.
