Fair enough, especially with a new car. Anything serious I would obviously get sorted but a rattle or squeek I tend to switch off from, a day of my car being with Renault mechs is 50 or so miles of grin inducing pleasure lost. Ive only got this beauty for 3 years until Im a poor boy with a...
Never realised it could be fixed! Im on my third Clio in 5 years and rattles are part of the experience :D
Now I have a 172 Cup I can add a whistling door mirror to the list (but sadly no sunroof rattle anymore), you cant say the Clio doesnt have character!

Its a 5* NCAP Clio, nothing more. Im guessing its bigger to meet the safety requirements, Clio is the only main mass-market Renault vehicle without 5 stars so they will get it for that by changing the design (therefore creating a nice marketing campaign by default) and then release a proper...
I was thinking that, mine were taken on a very sunny day but that was pretty damn close to how it looked at the time, it is a very light colour in good light. Its never looked nearly as dark as gt_gazs pic. Mondial seems to be lighter than Trophy Blue (mrs has a ZR) when parked together which...
Good price one on Ebay at the moment. A search of this very forum for "Silver Cup" brought up a thread with details on the car, it was a PS2 special apparently.
Very difficult to figure out what is actually legal with all those designs available on those sites. I believe the GB side panel with George Cross (or Scot or Welsh) flag is now ok, but badges such as football teams and the Renault diamond are not.
I would like the faint Renault Clio text...
Not so fun in very wet weather though. Feels absolutely perfect in the dry but seems very twitchy on wet surfaces unless you are driving on a nice straight even road, cant wait for the winter to come round
Were Marcos there?
I swear I spotted what may have been a TSO GT Coupe yesterday but Im not sure, I know they have a presence in Australasia though. I live almost literally on the doorstep of Marcos so I see a lot about, but this was new to me and caught me by suprise.
Anyways, it was orange...
Spotted my first 225 Trophy today, wow! Press shots really do not do this car justice, the paint with those absolutely gorgeous wheels looks absolutely stunning. Was never sure about the colour before as I really like the 225 in Inferno, but the new paint has a subtle yet stylish thing going for...
Lots of people hung up about the looks (and even the rear seats!) but surely the improved driving position and extra comfort is far more important?! The main complaint the press make about the Clio is the driving position, cant really complain that Renault now offer you the opportunity to fix...
Thanks, Im very proud! As nice as it is to look at its nothing until you are behind the wheel, Ive never been so happy to just drive places!
Usual 10 mile trip home from my gfs tonight became a 30 mile epic around all sorts of roads just for the hell of it, great fun.

Completely standard (apart from missing splitter) but oh so fantastic. Not sure what it is about Cups but they look so much better in the flesh, the wider stance just doesnt come across in photos.

Erm, well that didnt last. That particular drive from Bournemouth is the one I usually see a good 55mpg on in my 1.2 so a good figure in the 172 perhaps wasnt suprising. But anyway, Im back in the real world now and its just dropped under 40mpg already! Got to do just over 120 miles tomorrow so...
It is a great day! Even had people come up to me when I got home (I was cleaning it already!) asking questions about it, bit weird that! I was never interested in blue until I went to see mine in the flesh, waxed it this evening and it looks gorgeous.
Front splitter is indeed missed, was...
Sadly from my experience people are more likely to just mindlessly damage a car parked on the driveway than actually steal it. It doesnt help that my house sits on a route between the pubs and the majority of the residential area though.
Nope, full English model. It was on 33mpg from the previous owner, I reset it and after 60 miles thats what I had. Seemed to tie in with the petrol I had in it as well to be honest. Didnt get held up much or anything so I was doing a fairly steady speed all the way home.
I used to get 55mpg+...
Picked up my 172 Cup today, so so pleased with it. Absolutely perfect all around, only fault is a missing front splitter (seems to be common), will get one when I have some cash, completely broke now! Apart from being stupidly good fun and me smiling ear to ear all the way home (in the wet too...
Ive got size 13 and never had any trouble (had 3 Clios now), things are a little tight but the good thing is they are too big to get stuck in between pedals or anywhere!
If the Fiesta ST is anything to go by its best to avoid them. Dealers have trouble selling them with stripes so theyve been removing them. Unfortunately they dont come off too well so there is a delay with deliveries of new STs whilst Ford come up with a new material/glue to fix them in place so...
Because if you really put the work in for just one day (mine only took 4hrs) just 3 or 4 times a year they are ridiculously easy to clean in the future. At the moment for example I could get a great finish on my car in 15-20 minutes, the dirt just washes straight off. I used to spend an hour+...
Just an excuse to talk about it really but I just bought a 53 plate Cup with 8k on it for £8395. I think a year older and 25k miles extra warrants a cheaper price than what youve found, try to get him down to at least £7400 to begin with.
Im sure someone will be along shortly to tell you that...
Glad to hear Im not the only one to pass way through the 100k barrier.
My first Clio (96 N 1.2 RN if I remember correctly) had 70k on it when I got it as my first car on my 18th Birthday in 2000. I took it well well beyond 100k in the 3 years I owned it and literally never had any remotely...
