Osram Diadems, not rainbow though. I did a comparison when I was fitting them with the standard bulbs and the light output is virtually identical, I was initially concerned that they wouldnt be that great.
Im starting to border on the obsessive with my Cup now, only 3 weeks in but absolutely loving every minute of it. Ive started to make some changes to it but Im after ideas for more. This has been done so far...
New lights all round (Silvervisions and new indicators, amazed at the difference...
Just dont listen to the "£6k in 3 years" peeps on here, apparently thats what they are worth after 3 years with average mileage but Ive never seen any proof, despite asking for it and not getting any answers they still spout the £6k nonsense all the time. If you ask me residuals on a Cup arent...
Alternatively, the front seats are one of the few things that most people and all the press have issues with, being given a warranty covered pro-fitted option is a blessing. For the loss of some standard rear seats (not sure about you but I couldnt give a damn about them) they are more than...
Got a Dec (24th!) 53 plate Cup with 8400k on it for £8395 about three weeks ago, absolutely perfect and it came with a private "__ CUP" numberplate. That was at a dealership although I havent found one as cheap with that kind of mileage since
Just reading my manuals etc (bit late I know, had the car 2 weeks!) and aside from the 12k/2 year service which I havent reached yet it has space for a 9k oil change stamp in the service book.
Seems a bit odd considering how close it is to the 12k service, is it required for the warranty? I...
Nope my Dynamique is Black, been garaged ever since I got the Cup so you wont have seen it!
I spotted the 182 again two days ago, "RK05 ___" if I remember correctly.
Spotted a Racing Blue 182 today (no stripes) on an 05 plate heading into Westbury from Warminster around midday, and then again out towards Chippenham about an hour later. I was on a two hour lunch break trying to find some quiet roads for my Cup!
And more importantly lets hope he doesnt kill anyone else in the process. He may not be fussed about dieing but that doesnt give him the right to ruin the lives of others.
Sounds like a nutter!
Put yourself as a main driver with your Dad as an additional driver (and try more people and see what happens), I got under £600 on a 172 Cup with Admiral (23, 5 yrs no claims) so I would imagine you could reach at the very least £1500 or so.
My other half has a ZR oddly enough, 105+ on a 52 plate. After 4k it needed over £1200 work to replace what was basically half the bloody engine bay! Thankfully this was just before the collapse and she had it done under warranty.
Not a bad car but it seems to have a very hard ride, and the...
Im certainly not sweeping, Im only 23 now so 18 is still very fresh in my memory (just!). My point really is that no matter how sensible/safe/fantastically blessed a driver you are, with only maybe a year of road driving experience under your belt there are so so many things still to be learned...
172 Cup at 18?! Bloody hell, I wouldnt have had the balls then even if I could afford it. Despite thinking I was relatively safe (and Im still on 0 points and 0 own fault crashes, touch wood) I am at least 10 times safer as a driver now than I was then (23 now), and believe me I am as sensible...
Im in Westbury, about 20 minute drive up to Castle Combe. I go to pretty much every event during the season, I sit at Bobbies with my camera (and girlfriend!), Im still learning but here are a few examples of my stuff... http://www.chrisharrison.smugmug.com/http://www.chrisharrison.smugmug.com/...
My only "issue" if you can call it that is track use. Cant decide if I should or not (ideally I would have two, one for road and one for track), would certainly love to but as its my one and only car doing 12k+ commuting and everything I dont know if I should.
If I do we have a great circuit...
After a year I had the 1.2 16V Dynamique at its (safe) limits on the bends most of the time, suprisingly good on the twisties. Im actually doing the same corners considerably slower in the Cup at the moment and probably will be for some time!
I was thinking today about the bad/wet weather...
There is a Clio at Wiltshire College with a huge ClioSport sticker in the back, no idea if its an old logo or a made up one though but it sounds a bit like the one you mention.
Drop the "Dynamique" from the search and just leave the 1.6 in, quite a few come up. Although granted its not a huge amount, but considering all the deals are always on the 1.2 16V its not suprising.
Absolute genius. Collected it on Saturday 14th so Im 9 days in now. Havent actually gone anywhere different to an average week (which is around 250 miles) but Ive covered over 700! Thats all due to just taking much longer, faster and more entertaining routes to wherever Im going (for example the...
Those Cup mats arent on the list of available logos despite them showing them as an example. Bit of a pain in the arse as it looks like I need to get a quote etc.
Or am I missing something?
Any suggestions for decent Cup mats without shelling out at Renault? I currently have Williams ones with metal heel plates but with my size 13 feet Im not getting any grip as my heel slips off the back of the metal (hard to explain but very annoying!)
Im hoping their is some website that makes...
Still cant understand the point of making a car look as though its had accident damage and the owner couldnt afford to have the bonnet resprayed. Is there any genuine reason for having a carbon bonnet?
Im willing to be talked around but I just dont understand at the moment!
Got about 350 miles from my first tank (172 Cup, only had the car since Saturday) but never reached empty. Filled her up again yesterday morning with it showing 80 miles left with Ultimate and have since done 200 miles and its just reached half a tank left, although thats obviously not too...
Spotted a Silver 182 (not cupped) yesterday in Chippenham, Wilts with what appeared to be a Mickey Mouse head on the end of the aerial, and a Bath Rugby sticker in the bag window.
Im assuming its not somebody here?!
Bit anal but its good practice to photographs of your car (with date stamp) before you take it in, then check it before you leave the garage. Only a two minute job but could be worthwhile.
A post-it with mileage stuck to the dash always helps as well...just in case.
