Is this whats known as RAID? If so the 172 Cup does have it. Sounds like it flys in the face of all safety recommendations though, as its not advised to have the doors locked when driving incase you have a crash and the fire service need to get you out.

Official is 6.8 I think but I have loads of literature and reviews from the Cups release and most had it tested doing 6.5. Suprisingly few cars can touch that sort of performance, especially at anywhere near the price of the Cup.

After some support here I decided to put the splitter on today. Im the least practical person ever (can barely change a light bulb!) and the fittings were not supplied so I wasnt confident, but....

Its an interesting swop to say the least, interior is virtually identical so its hard to imagine that you have nearly 100 extra bhp at your disposal, it doesnt even sound particuarly fast. First thing that got me was the clutch, completely different in a 172 so that takes a little getting used...

Its getting confusing now! Renault did say the Trophy improvements would be an optional extra on the standard 225 as a "Cup Pack" but I wasnt expecting a whole new car! Basically a Trophy rebadged in a different colour, got to love the so called exclusivity of these things :)
Where did you order from? I just had a Carbon Splitter go missing on its way to me (from K-Tec, about 50 miles away, been two weeks now!), maybe there are some gnomes at the posties with Renautsports who want all our stuff!
Good news is theyve just sent another with no hassle at all.
My other half spotted a yellow 182 around 3pm yesterday around J8ish of the M4, Im guessing its the same one as there arent too may about.
She said it looked boy-racerish in yellow, bloody cheek!

Clear side repeaters were standard and the bulbs have been replaced all round. Probably go for a new filter next week, sounds like a good idea.
Has anyone replaced the radio aerial with anything a bit more cosmetically pleasing? Seen a few small blue things on Ebay that look interesting.
Ive got both, no matter what I can say the difference truely is unexplainable. The 1.2 16V is no slouch as 1.2s go, but the step up to a Cup is huuuuuge. You do get used to the power of the 172 but as soon as you go in almost any other car you find commonly on the road you realise how quick it...
Im not after any big changes at the moment, they will come in time. Just small things either cosmetic or performance that doesnt cost a lot. Is it worth changing the air filter for example?
