Awesome to see its all sorted and quickly too.
Been looking at the Anodized effect paint myself, not used it but have used other paints in VHT's range and they're awesome.
Awesome results. Done my Mams one, vauxhall paint is so nice to polish.
My old corsa b only started showing signs of fading once it was 10 years old, if you look after the paintwork by just making sure theres something on top of the paint to protect it'll stay looking good for years.
No chance on drivers side without removing or possibly re positioning it. Mines removed.
Passenger side it's possible to re position the horn, I made a new bracket for it. Can't remember where the acoustic valve sat.
Aprill 2011- Rear end tidy up
Seeing as I had a nice 11 day weekend, thought I'd tidy up the rear of my Trophy. Here’s what I got up to today
The Number plates had been bugging me for ages (well 4years almost lol) with the large garage logo and border, seeing as they had started to fade as...
Just copied this from old post so sorry if I go over something ive already said
Front Dampers were due to be refurbished (had been weeping oil for a good few months from bottom of reservoir, which as I found out later I should have not ran on them) and had been collecting parts for that work...
January 2011
Bright blue skies and picturesque Wales along with a brand new SLR.
Febuary 2011
Bad luck strikes with with me picking up a screw in my tyre. Was peed off because I picked it u on a journey I didn’t have to make lol, sods law. Luckily was only a slow puncture and obvious...
1degree=60min. Double check what it is whether its degrees and minutes or its down as decimal of a degree.
Mines around 1.5 degrees on the back iirc. Which is standard and untouched.
Think a couple if the lads running race car clios were looking at them, can't remember who though and if they did.
It's possible to machine the stub axle surfaces I believe so. Not sure how much that would cost though. If that's case with 1/2 degree difference you can shim it 1/2 degree more that corner, not ideal but without machining or replacement beam only real way.
Pure-Motorsport do a rear beam...
Awesome progress. Was wondering what had happened to this.
With rear camber shims. Have you got any previous alignment printouts to work off of? So you know the alignment state of the rear beam as it might not be as true as you'd expect it to be.
If you do want some here's best place to go...
You notice a massive increase in noise on start up initially. But this lessens as they bed in and you get used to it.
Amazing improvement in gear shift feel. This alone is worth it if you can live with the extra vibrations and harshness imo.
But have been commented on how much harsher they are...
January 2010 – More SnowAnother year and more snow for little red to contend with. As usual did it without a problem.
April 2010
Bought an alloy footrest. Think it’s a great addition and matches the standard alloy pedals. Even fixes onto the original fixing point
One wing mirror had a...
Thanks :) Not 100% sure yet, possibly cams and maybe a bit extra. But we'll see :)
Thanks :) Awesome, so capable on track straight out of the box. Photos up when you can please :)
Febuary 2009
Nice start to the year to test the Clio’s snow capabilities lol. Never had I seen this much snow. At least Mam’s dogs were at home in it.
Cleared little red of snow and went for an exploration down the farm track. Needless to say I didn’t get very far even after Dad...
Seeing as my Trophy is slowly getting tweeked here and there thought I’d start a project thread here. Will have owned the car 5 years this summer. I’ll start with a write up from the previous years up to how little red stands now.
August 2007
Having had a ride in a mate’s-mate’s Trophy I knew...
Thanks guys :)
Does make it ride harder and a lot more road noise but if you can live with that they're pretty awesome.
Yeah red oem, these are basic plastic ones. Fitted them initially until I sprayed a new set red but like them black so they've stayed on ever since.
Finished off fitting my Pure Motorsport top mounts and brace today. Awesome quality kit, very surprised as to how well it rides not as harsh as I had expected. Unfortunately the camber is out atm so will need to get that set up so wasn't able to see how it felt properly, very impressed at 1st...
