No, in all seriousness, the 172's aren't as reactive as 106's to things like mani, induction and exhaust. You can spend £500, and not see many gains at all.
That money is much better spent on suspension and brake upgrades. A decent set of coilies, and Brembo disks...
The first two pics I could live with, but the last two are shocking.

Release bearing goes on the spline in the centre. The arm comes through the bellhousing diagonally (through the hole in the bellhousing) and sits in the two teeth on the bearing.
