My Trophy does roughly 35mpg to each & every tank - will do more, but i cant be bothered with sitting at 65mph to save a quid.
Roughly 300 miles until the light comes on iirc.
Just had the cambelt etc done by a well known trader/breaker on the Gti6 forum (he's selling it).
Much cheapness: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3535285.htm
Tempted myself, but dont need 3 cars lol ...
Nom nom nom
Looks great! Do very much have a soft spot for the silvery grey ones, was what i was looking for originally, before i found the Cadburys Dairy Milk edition ... bet you missed the rasp the most didnt you? Followed by the sound of six ITB's at nearly 8 thousand revs.
Re: 'Sir_Dave's Caged, Cleaned & Toyed-with Shed Trophy Paedo Wagon
No real updates on the Trophy front at the moment, as its just been quietly doing its commuting job as & when for the past few months. FailSport did clean it in November, but that was detailed in this thread...
Nah, not that bad actually!! Have spent just over a grand so far but still have the old wheels & nav to sell, which should realise 300 quid or so. I do keep a rainy day fund for it though, for when it bites me in the ass lol. I dunno, whereas i wanted to modify the clio's, i've always wanted to...
Another update, not very exciting, but meh, i like to keep it all noted down ...
Took the M3 home to Cornwall for Christmas, averaged 31 mpg there & back which i was pleased with, especially seeing as i wasnt really hanging around ... still got through 100 quid in VPower, but hey ho, Christmas...

I'd suggest bringing a few of the troops John, neither Tom, Bigman or Hallam are confirmed.
Lol.
Personally, i always heel & toe, whether it be on track, or on the daily 100 mile commute. Not only for mechanical sympathy, but for additional smoothness and control over the vehicle.
Not all techniques will be used in every corner of course, but being skilled at them all will give you...
