You should try turning it into more of a social event Dan, the saxo was built on kfc, beer & haribo iirc, normally before/after a CS meet/night out/BBQ. Would never have got it finished otherwise!!! Also means that you dont actually have to do any of the work :p
Completely understand where you are coming from, i seriously considered getting a Quaife, ITB's & ECU for the Trophy, but for the money that was going to cost, the T would have stood me at 8 grand, and still wouldnt have been particularly quick lol.
As such, i just bought something with ITB's...
Feel your pain tbh, i didnt have the M3 for the first 2 months of ownership and it drove me flipping insane!! Ended up threatening to get my solicitor involved, which seemed to put a rocket up their ar5e ... On the flipside, i still had the Trophy to get to work & back luckily.
Personally, i'd...

Nice video Nick, sounds heroic from 1:55 onwards!!
Don't worry about Ollie, he's just jealous that the EmFwee sounds epic without the need for popz n bangz yo ....
Lambo is incredibly fast no doubt!!
But for me, i would buy the carth the proper gearbox and 3 pedals. GT2 RS FTMFW.

Basically, they couldn't get the rear camber quite right & the steering wheel is still off centre - the reason for me wanting it done in the 1st place lol. Running costs, well im just glad that i have a toolkit and dont have to pay BMW prices
Forgot, took a picture of the fleet on Tuesday...
Quick update, made another thread the other day with some awful pictures, but thought i better update the project thread as well.
Essentially Ollie cleaned it: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?616229-Purple-M3.-Cr4p-picture-alert, which made it looked like this.
After that, we...
No idea, thats your job to investigate.
Depends on the number of miles you need to do, it might be easier/cheaper just getting a taxi to school/work etc.
Like it. Personally, with 185bhp i would imagine them to be very good!!
Nearly bought one a couple of years back but in all seriousness, at the time i couldnt afford one, so yup, bought another clio, purely as it was cheaper. For me, remove stripes, spray wheels silver, lower it, breathing...
Pm ccfj1, he's the one who does all the clever stuff ... if you claim that you're IT iliterate (like i did) he will send you the discs already done for about £30. Then takes 3 mins to update the O/S & the 2012 maps work perfectly.
I can guide you through it if you like - used postcode search...
