If you do get the Racelands, they are cheaper from Ktec's eBay shop: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RACELAND-COILOVER-SUSPENSION-KIT-Clio-2-RS-172-inc-Cup-182-Non-Cup-/110802969667?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19cc5f2443
Surely thats half the point, its a executive autobahn destroyer, not a car to impress 18 year old down at McDonalds ...
Need to be estoril though imho.
Flipping epic machines!!
Its a bit pikey i must admit, although you can take bypass it using a lineout, etc - although you'd then need to amp it somehow, although if you are bodging wires, you could take the line out from the Mki9200 to the back of the headunit via aux in, then use the internal amp.
Looks awesome, although id need the 17" Speedlines personally ...
Not having to wash it ever, for fear of damaging the wrap/paint/whatever it is is also appealing.
I'm guessing he worked in a Peugeot dealer, which would explain his lack of knowledge?
Mine told me that the 306 Rallye didnt exist once lol ... i promptly drove it into their workshop and ridiculed them.
Ah right, so very smooth driving (like me) & slower speeds hence the better mpg, makes sense.
I get impression that as soon as you go above 70, the 200 really drops off, what sort of revs is it doing at say 85 in 6th?
Think the Trophy is at about 4k rpm.
What sort of speeds were you doing Mark, i get 35mpg sat at 75-85 in the Trophy? Everyone else seems to get appalling fuel economy in the 200's compared. Shame as i really like them, but with sub 30 mpg there is literally no point me even contemplating one.
Personally, when you can buy a Gti6 setup for £75, that is bigger & offers better stopping power, you'd be bonkers to buy the DS2500's.
Unless they were 30 quid.
And when you change your mind, you can unbolt it all, reflash the ecu and sell it on for £800.
Bit harder to that with cams ;)
Re: the mounts, you cant have standard ones - the manifold would foul the rad, etc.
When compared to my graph (also at SRR), which is for a fairly standard, healthy Trophy, the torque is held at peak for much longer, & the power keeps coming after 6k. Seems good enough to me.
Im sure someone can overlay it.
Re: 'Sir_Dave's Caged, Cleaned & Toyed-with Shed Trophy Paedo Wagon
Another quick update, more to show pictures of the other sheds at FailSport Weybridge branch really, Trophy isnt that interesting :o
Whilst i was drooling over the Aston's and generally having a bit of a man crisis, Ollie...
Look even better behind Comp MO's. I had 1*2 size DS2500's as well.
Was a tad daft to be honest, could lock it up at 70 - i removed the abs & added a gti6 master cylinder as well.
