So long as your not on track I'd not put much value in the race oils then so use some decient fully synthetic and change it often.
Clean the throttle body yep might help but if its realy slow might be the motor in the body itself
Standard mount are designed to stop enough movment stiuffer ones...
Yep only cup boxes have speedo sensors on them.
if he had the wrong box fitted with the diff and accepted knowing the speedo didn't work why? He could have done tones of miles in a year and the next owner wouldn't know about. If you buy and find its the wrong box what do you do to have a road...
Change the oil (what is a good oil to use?)
Engine oil have a look how you use the car 5-40 is a good choice any fully synthetic. No need to pay for racing stuff if your not going to use it and its better to chnage it more often with decient normal stuff than leave racing oils in for longer...
Speedo doesn't have to work for an MOT only when new
Stupidly though its illegal to drive on the raod without a working speedo though
Its one of those strainge rules where the MTO ddoesn't say its legal to drive only it passes the test.

If/When they have a crash indsurance companies won't stop laughting they can walk away from any claim and claim all cost from 3rd partys to be claimed back from the owner. SO they would walk away with the owners premium + all there costs paid not a bad business.

Insuracne canbe dione
As regards price from Ktec to fit I'm guessing they also cover fixing parts as few conversion fit and work straihgt out the box. I know one which had 2 gearboxes plus the original plus a new ECU/ UCH and an auto electricial on it for some time.
Be careful with Dynamique spec as spec went up and down they lost there auto lights at a point.
Best just ask the place who is replacing the glass they know which windows have the sensors
Jack the car up
Remove the wheel
Undo the top mount I foregt the size its the one under the bonnet might need a buzzz gun or a spanner and allen key to hold the center of the shcok in place whilst you undo the mount.
Unfo the abs line from the hub and move it out the way.
Theres two nuts and...
yep wiper arms scuttle and bottle if you need to chnage the bottle.
No need to touch the wiper mechanisms.
As for needing a puller depends some can be wiggled out or wiggled with some oil other you need a puller. Idealy a puller isn't a bad idea.
]You don't need to use the disks you can get a abs pickup rings made for the rear drums or if you want make up some abs rings for the front of the car and use the old abs system
Pumps are cheap £14 from car parts place £35 from Renault if my memorys any good.
For the price vs the time to strip the car to get to the pumps I wouldn't bother buying new ones. My pump messes up ever now and again i have only once bought a replacement.
Engine block heater or use a power converter to warm up the interier.
I know someone who uses a heater in the car with an extension leads. gets up in the morning plugs in the extrension then later on gets into the car unplugs the extension and drives off cheaper as electricity is cheaper than...
Some poeple on here thing a 172 engine with s**t interior, no xenons, no cruise control makes for a more expensive car than a normal 172
(as for the wheels and tyres theses can be easily changed anyway
Yep the brakes plus the road legal slicks realy had some grip.
PS going to sell those tyres some time just got to go back to the Uk and get pics next weekend.
