Mounts are easy to change. Most likly its the dogbone one is worn. Dogbone is very quick to change. IMo don't go for an "uprated" or harder one stock are much better for most people unless its a race car. and can accept the issues of a harder bushes.
Nope they will be two power runs.
As for the viability of running it its not like its going to make more power its juts going to tell you how much above or below what you think you are. I don't trust them seems my cars is about 16% more powerful than it left Renault which somehow I don't belive.
Its a work in progress but someone was asking about buying one so I wrote this up. Needs expanding if anyone has any bit to add please do.
I'm gonna try write a few mopre on 1.2/2.0(might do one per model type)/3.0
Things to looks out for when buying a dci Clio
Whilst this is a bit extensive...
load sensing valve seized.
can someone tell me where abouts this is ? i assume connected to the rear axle somewhere. and how do i go about free'ing it up ? is it apparent when looking at it?
Its on the rear axle connected to the car with a springs. Look underneither cannot miss it. Its used...
Beg to differ. Japanese cars might have the repuation but realy its not a huge jump in my experiances. does depend on brand though.
As for Ford even if they were more reliable build quality isn't upto it.
IMO the 100 isn't a great buy anyway the gearbox is terribale and if you want low down torque it doesn't provide it. The turbo was all top end boost to get the hp figure.
1.2 is a fine engine realy no reason realy to get anyhting more unless it costs no more.
Just a few point is the dci's are getting on and they sold them almosyt the whole time the cars was in production then surly petrols are just as old?
Just one thing to remmeber the petrols are all older in design the diesel 1.5 was brought out after the phase 2 range was released. Age has no...
Imo make sure the cars in good condition ie nothing worn.
Make sure the service etc is uptoday
And enjoy the car best upgrade you can ever do is to enjoy it /lean to use the car better ie track days skid pans etc.
Yep the cup uses the speedo sensor box as i has so abs sensors. What I meant with my my quote was that if the diff is figtted to a proper cup etc box with speedo sesnor why wasn't if sorted. If its ben fitted with a none speedo sesnor box why was it and fixing it won't be cheap.
Bleed the brakes and use some standard pads.
Stock are more than good enough for 99% of people. People often don't realise how good they should be as stock and compaired race pads and fluid with old worn pads and fluid with air etc in it.
Yep it does. as for the gearbox on this car i'd like to know what box has been used as if a phase 2 none cup box was used then getting a speedo drive to work won't happen.
Infact if the speedo doesn't work the cars illegal to drive on the road if the wrong box is fitted (you have to ask why pay...
You could get 172 suspension to fit but its a few bits you need the ARB the wishbones the driveshafts the abs rings would have to be custom made then you need shocks made to fit and springs. You would also get the 172 brakes and disks so you would idealy need the 172 brake piston since this...
I belive injectors are near there limit RS tuning have looked at them before I believe. Better upgrade them.
As for what would fit I don't know of anyhting but it won't be that bad to DIY with some thourght.
Theres another thread about this car http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?612550-Thoughts-on-this-172-quife-differential&p=8229686#post8229686
The definition of well maintained is that its serviced better than manurfacturers recomendations.
Not being serviced for 7 years and 16k isn't well maintainced.
Check the air filter and chnage plus the throttle body possibly needs cleaning.
