Re: Namakubi Clio 172 Cup "track project"
Thanks Jon, To be honest I cant remember if I blocked it off or not, im sure I left the pipe cable tied in the win to still vent. No lights on dash however irrc it will throw a fault code. I kept the the connector pin wired in also.
Oh no Pete, does not sound good fella. Funnily enough I had same symptoms with my engine, did a compression test this week down at MWM place and it showed the cylinders 3 and 4 was low (160), other 2 showed between 170 and 190. Oil splutter was coming out of the crank case breather when...
Looking good, glad it sailed through its MOT. Mines due at end of the month.
The top mounts sounded like a pain but at least it was a very cheap fix. I remember when I fitted my solid top mounts, I never had the proper spanner to tight it right down so had to drive to the nearest garage with a...
Looking good. Hopefully it wont create drag. Do you have a pic of the inside, is it linked to the filter or is there space, something for any water to fall through?
Looking spot on there Gaz, I like the cup racer style blanks. So do you swap the blanks over with the original lights when you drive to the circuit or is it a trailer job?
Have you picked the car up yet?
Looking good, thats my Clio with the mirrors. They was purely experimental as I had them left over from a old project, they was ok, but the near side mirror field of view was really to small esp for circuit driving. The roll cage would also have obscured the FOV as well. The ones you have seem...
The car will be getting a leakdown/compression test and a inspection of the remap next Monday by MWM. So we shall see....
Sorry OP to drift off topic...
Hmmmmm The KTEC Sausage filter looks familiar hopefully I shall be getting a new set up soon, your right they do pick up a lot of dirt. This is the second ktec filter I have had....I have been informed the Pipercross filter is a better item. To be fair I have never beena fan of foam filters...
Nice one, does the spacer come with the necessary bolts to fix it to original hub?
Regarding the door cards check post 75 here http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?639762-Namakubi-Clio-172-Cup-quot-track-project-quot/page4&highlight=namakubi I made these from Foamalux...
Mine was the same, I used a few metal washers on the transmission side to bring the level up. I was speaking to Mark Fish about this, he said its a good thing as it leans you slightly away from the door, reducing any possible side impact injuries if tracking the car.
The roll cage (if fitted) will get in the way of of the near side mirror. also vibrations at high speed will make it almost impossible to use. unless you mount them on the door closer to the driver. But as above, not really worth the effort imo You could lose that weight be shaving all insides...
Re: My 172 Cup (T5MY G) 191.2 Bhp & 173.4 Torque
26kg is very good! How much did the passenger air bag weight?
I has resisters in to turn to AB light off, however im at the point now where I just want to get rid of the whole system. Spoke to local MOT station and the new MOT law has not come...
