The valver/williams inlet manifold is a totally different matter. It cannot, or rather, there is no benefit in reworking it at all. It is snail shell shaped and you cannot get any tooling further than 6" up it. The runners are also so large that they do not pose a restriction, and actually mate...
to be more precise.
What is the pressure when the engine is cold and hot.
Is it only 5-6 bar when you start it, or does it stay that high all the time.
When the car is fully warmed up, what is the pressure at about 3500rpm?
Seeing as there is some interest ill see if a group buy can be arranged, however they are notoriously difficult to get the whole group together.
I offer 2 stages of manifold modification.
1) Mild rework. This involved more than your typical port match and is based around the redevelopment...
regrinds tap to buggery as they remove material from the BCD, which isnt a great idea.......but its cheap.
If you want more information just drop me a PM
I dont deal with regrinds either, not worth the time and it kills the valve train aseembly.
The cams dont wear, they run on roller radius followers so there are no shear forces against the cam surface.
My cams have the largest BCD on the market and allows the more gentle valve train...
The extensive manifold modifications require the plenham to be cut in half, so its very obvious something has been done.
The mild manifold mods are subject to a larger % discount because they do not require as much consumables, just labour.
Increasing the throttle bodies dimentions will reap no benefit as its sufficiently large to support large BHP gains.
Also, its also FBW so disassembly is impossible.
Telling the ins is something you always want to do, and id assume that an appraisor would know as the surface finish is very different to that of cast ally.
Im tempted to run a group buy on inlet manifolds, but depends entirely on interest. If numbers are good a 30% saving is at hand, so its...
The std airbox design is the best. It oncorporated a much better lead in and radius entry into the throttle body. None of the aftermarket filters offer this and seem to loose a fair amount by not introducing laminar flow into the TB.
Kits which go from a round outlet at the filter to an...
