You can get a normal RS for £2k so why bother?

Haynes doesn't cover the 172/182 models although it does cover 99% of stuff the rs models have. Plus most of the other stuff is the same people just are never happy.
Unless thats free labour then forget it. The kits can be got for that sort of price.
£80 belt chances includinglabour says ither they not going to do it or they don't know what there doing or there going not just chnage the belts and still don't know what there doing.

No ned for adjustable damping you need to spend a load on adjustbale damping to get something worthwhile. Even then you have to know hw to adjust them coilovers none adjustable are better than just springs and dampers if your compairing...
£17 for the pads at halfords most lily you have the FDB 845 ones.
Disk £50 ¬60 depnds where you go
Rear shoes there a few types most likly be the chepo ones from so £12 at motor parts places to £35 at halfords
