I agree with this! I got a set of free used semi slicks on some cheap 15" wheels and they barely showed signs of wear after the day. I also saved my road tyres from wear, so track tyres are a really good long term investment I'd say.
Also once you get the hang of sticky rubber it's immense, the...
I'm planning on getting my Turinis powdercoated silver this summer. But I have previously refurbed them myself and had to use filler on parts as they were quite badly kerbed.
I emailed Cas Coatings where I was planning on getting them done, and they said:
"All your filler would be blasted...
I'm planning on getting my Turinis refurbed this summer, as my DIY jobbies have started to peel in places. I'm thinking silver as even though the white looks awesome, I've seen a few spotless silver wheels lately and they always look so shiny :o
Might seem like a silly question, but what shade...
Added the Bedford Autodrome sticker to the back of the car today, hoping to add a few more along the rear window! Brands Hatch next hopefully!
Glad I chose black as it's nice and subtle
That's probably my favourite 182 video. Car looks set up so well, looks such a joy to drive! Wish I could start messing with suspension and geometry setup but my limited knowledge/funds and the fact the car is my daily makes me think twice :(
Awesome track too!!
Literally the same as this. Public transport and living in walking distance of everywhere at Uni and home mean it's not especially needed. I use it for fun more than necessity, ironic for me being an environmental student!
Looks nice! Sits really nicely.
IMO I think the original Clio badge or the RS200 RenaultSport badge would look better in place of the ClioSport sticker on the boot.
Resurrecting an old thread here but wanted to know if anyone can confirm that I have the same issue? I have a video from my trackday a couple of weeks back, if you skip to 4.20 you can hear a similar noise on the straight.

Just wanted to know if that's a normal Yozza thing or if...
Agreed with the comments about save your cash! I'm 21 and wish I hadn't spent the money on modding my previous car. It was a 1.2 Punto, once it looked how I liked it I got bored with the lack of power and then couldn't sell it as quickly as most buyers want a totally original car. So when it...
I'm not so sure about that in general, all of the cars I've seen have been fine. And mine doesn't have a single electrical fault and it's just ticked over 80k at 8 years old. I love my cruise control and climate!
I dropped an engine cover bolt down my bay and found it 3 months later when under the car ha.
Your car has just convinced me to get my white Turinis refurbed in silver when I get them professionally done. Car looks stunning!
I had mine in Focus ST orange, they looked good when freshly painted. But after 2 days they looked dull and crap, I've now painted them satin black and they look much nicer
Yeah I was loving it and the car seemed to be fine with it, the brakes were fantastic all day so I went out a few times! But only in 3 lap stints to prevent any brake issues. Initially I thought yours was a 1.4 with the badges, soon found out it wasn't on the straight!
Yeah mate, it was 93 db...
They're definitely suicidal, I had one look at me in the grass, then run out into the road in front of me! I swerved around it, had I been doing maybe 10mph more I wouldn't have been able to save the rear and probably spun around!
Had a my first taste of a track day today in the Clio, an awesome day!
Here's a few pics from the day
Here's a terrible quality onboard video!

And a compilation of some trackside ones

Car was fantastic with the semi slicks, really punched above its weight and...
I used to watch the gearbox classes at Kimbolten when I raced karts, the 0-60 was the best part about them!
Apart from the top championship level stuff they tend to be have quite a few larger males competing in them though ha! Those who were too heavy for the direct drive stuff!
No meets so far as I barely use the car when I'm in Leeds tbh! My life as a 3rd Leeds Uni student consists of go to Uni, go to the library, and then get drunk. None include the car! But now the weather is improving I'd be up for attending meets, I might have to keep an eye open on the Yorkshire...
Just wondered since my car has fairly new looking 'Lip' rear shocks, and has done since I bought the car summer of last year, are these shocks considered to be any good by anyone? I'm thinking about investing in some new OEM shocks as I assume these are crap budgets unless someone else has...
Yeah that's the insulation, mines looking equally as knackered! But looks like yours is hanging off much more.
And yeah as said the 4k rattle is your noise. Not the cat, most likely the centre silencer. Replaced my exhaust cat back and it's cured the problem.
