You'll never get a definitive answer on this, but IMO premium fuel is worth it with 1*2's. I get better econemy and better running / performance, but it is more expensive. Tuned Clios aren't the cars to have if it's economey your after. C1's 70 mpg FTW

The picture will be in a different aspect ratio to the resolution your screen is set at. You wont get it to display properly without enlarging it and then cropping some off to make it at least the same aspect ratio as your screen, or preferably the exact same resolution.

Any scrap yard is almost guaranteed to have a clio with these, probably a fiver a pair.

lol, it's not complicated! Just get the rears replaced and don't worry about the fronts, or the springs. Fairly common on clios, rear shocks going but the fronts seem to last better. If you want it lower, get some springs, but change the rear shocks first.

Mine are in a similar condition to the OP, and the last time I took it for a MOT, the tester told me to ocassionally drive with the handbrake 'half' on to clean them up.

Yes that's dealer prices. A specialist should charge less, however, make sure you're confident that the seller can do the job properly. Many tales abound of botched jobs - search on here and I'm sure you'll find plenty.

My 2001 ph1 is on it's third set of belts; the first one snapped, so they do go! If there's no evidence of it being done then I would budjet £5-600 and/or get that amount knocked off the purchase price. HTH

Can't be of help with your problem, but I used to have the same car (Si) and the alarm was the same as my ph1 172, so if you search problems with 172 alarms you may find the answer. Would probably get more help if you were a member of the club too...
