It also stops the welds from failing as this was happening on the exhausts Charlie was doing previously.
You'll get use to the change in note from the engine after a couple of days...but you'll be playing with the acceleration a bit more as the car sounds more hungry! ;)
^^^There were no problems with mine when I done that!
When mine went, I ripped it off...then drove from Birmingham (work) to home (about 45 miles). Then went to Cardiff from Telford with no backbox on!
It will make you deaf in your left ear, but will be worth it mate!
You going for...
Haz...this is the same thing that I told you about 3 days ago on another thread! I told you to clean the connectors...you have done ½ the job and you get ½ the result!
If its never been registered with DVLA (and driven round on trade plates) then when it first gets registered is probably when 'Zonda' registered it.
There is a 2005/2006 MK4 Cortina doing the rounds as it was kept in the Ford showroom for best part of 20 years without being registered.
Its the grounding on the rear lights...been mentioned a few times. Get a small file and check the connections on both rear sets of lights for corrosion. tidy that up (some people have used WD-40...I haven't) and should work a treat!
:bump: this as more than 4 people (definates) will be needed for a decent discount to take place. Mandy is trying to get a decent direct discount, but we will need significant numbers than 4! So those that want in...get your names down and see where we can go from there!

2...
I met him when we went up to Cobra for the Rolling Road day up in Telford. Spoke to Marc then. Got his mail address, and tried to get a price when I was looking for a set of seats (still haven't bloody got 'em!) he was looking for maybe a group buy direct from them to get decent discount...
If you contact Cobra direct (they're in Telford! ;))
They can do them in any colour options you like...factory sale is every November...and they offered 2 Daytonas, with subframes in whatever colour I wanted with free stitching (so whatever emblem I wanted) for circa £450 for the pair...
IIRC the Air Con was circa 12Kg...next to nothing in real world tems of performance though...just another item to remove if you wanted to strip the car out! ;)
I've got the P Zero Nero on the front of my Cup. They do have good grip...but I don't think that they inspire as much confidence as I used to have with Contis all round...or maybe its just me. I do like them though. :)
Mark's spot on. My first track outing was FCS last year, you are running with pretty much similar cars (obviously some have more power or better set up) but its not like you're gonna have an Ultima or an Atom fly up and past you from out of nowhere. On Rockingham last year, they said that you...
Deadly serious mate!!!
They are well down the road of looking into it. There has been some noise about it...but Shropshire County Council are almost certainly going to implement it.
The Club are also looking into the discounts for members.
There is a list to the left entitled 'Member Discounts' which is out of date, but is a good idea of the kind of discounts up for grabs!
10% off Cobra Seats is circa £40 on a pair of seats, which is worth the fiver in anyone's book...
There will be threads from one of the Scottish Area Reps for a convoy down nearer the time. They usually travel down the night before and stay over somewhere near to the place.
There isn't too much difference (for the price) between a 1.4 and 1.6. If you mean the cars with 16v on the side...they're only 1.2s!
If you did upgrade to a 2.0 engine...you'd need to consider brakes and suspension upgrades to cope with the extra power...it would probably be cheaper to buy...
I really annoyed mine once by really being intricate in what I did...imagine his face when he saw me doing mine, then he had long finished and I was still doing stuff putting it in and out of the garage between bits. Then turned round to him at the end of it all and said "Looks like...
IIRC, they will have a list of how many cars have stand passes (when you order your ticket(s) they will ask if you are a member of a car club and issue a stand pass and sticker per car.
No pass, no car on stand! Obviously the layout, etc would depend on who wants to go on the track and what...
As said above...hence why in the past a lot of cars didn't have Fog lights (or had them as an optional extra) they wouldn't have passed an MOT, would they?
Think the rear fog light has to be there and functioning...hence why the imports have one attached.
Used to in the old place...he had an old Seat, and because I used to do my car with the polish seal and wax, he would then do his which used to annoy me as he thought he was so much better...then bought a new Punto and washed that even though my 4 year old car had a better shine when finished...
