Also get the car upto a point where you can hear the noise, then take the car out of gear and cost without using the accelerator. If the noise continues, its the wheel bearings.
I had the original, nice little gaming device (before the PSPs and the like took over) but oh boy did you look like an ass when you had to make or take a phone call...I used a hands free kit! :o
No worries Scott...just wondering where you were headed...as the next RR I might try somewhere different towards the end of the year. (Just a thought!) :)
Although you'd better have more HP than those Mini's! ;)
Where are you having the rolling road?
I got mine done when I had the cam belt, etc done at 70K. Didn't seem to do much, but the book does say to change them every 72K...so sometimes best to do it a bit earlier.
Although it honestly shouldn't make too much difference on the RR if there's...
Yeah, I thought the same myself...then noticed its a 1.6
The original car is 29 years old...does that mean it would be Road Tax Exempt? Even though technically it would be an import???
Mines done more mileage (85K) but is Oct 2003 car, and I've just replaced rear bearings today, and mine is making a slight noise when I turn the wheel to the right (not on full lock).
Find somewhere you trust, and get them to have a look. Although, if the noise increases with speed...take...
"for normal gearboxes (i.e., not lift reverse boxes) - anodised 'staybrite' aluminum - engraved gearbox layout; six speed - reverse top left - simple grub screw fitment."
Not any good for the old Clios I take it?
Nice Pics Speccy...you're showing your hand with photography. Fair Play.
Also, cheers to everyone and their pics. The weather made the pics look so much better! :)
I don't know mate. When my backbox fell off...went straight to Charlie at Pro-speed. For my Clio...I found this out the other month when trying to get a new tyre...the place in Telford said he would have done me a cat back for between £250-£280. But Kez (the guy who does the Powerflow exhausts...
We were in Nando's having some food until about 4 then went bowling. We waited in the car park until about 2:40...blame your sis for not doing the car earlier! ;)
Shame we missed you...hopefully get to see you at the next meet. :)
The next meet is to be concluded. Mandy has a plan up her sleeve, but is trying to sort a few bits out behind the scenes for it. Obviously you will know about it in due course. It will be towards the end of April/Beginning of May.
We might even put the choice up to a vote, or ask for...
Or Charlie at Pro-speed, its in Cardiff...but Jay Hunt, Kully and I are 3 W.Midlanders who have been down there for it. He will do it exactly how you want it, although if you're not fussed by the noise, Powerflow should be fine. IIRC there are a few in the W.Mids.
List here...from the...
I know its not quite the same, but I had 80Kg of gravel in the boot of the car (8*10Kg bags), the car felt less responsive...but then the weight was added in just the one place but still made quite a difference.
My lacquer peel is worse than that. The paint almost certainly won't be under warranty, but so long as there are no peel patches on the bonnet and/or wings, then should be relatively cheap to do just the bumper if you can't find one from a similar car thats been rear ended.
I did the drive of shame from Birmingham back to my house in Telford (45 mile drive). Then down to Cardiff the following day to get to Prospeed. They should appreciate that you can't get them to come to your house and fit an exhaust.
Just remember that you'll probably be temporarily deaf in...
I don't know. The alarm was on my old 306 and was a toad, I transferred it over to the Cup and piggybacked it off the standard alarm.
IIRC I think it was Cobra that were installed to the imported MK2s.
Depends on what noise you have associated with the digi-chirp (as they can be known). The Clifford ones screech at you, which makes you jump...if it just beeps, it can encourage drunks to talk to the car (had that with my old 306...a drunk woman saying that the car was talking to her).
The...
