Evo in the cold, Clio in the garage!

~550bhp 1mm over sized Cp custom Pistons, cosworth cams, 2046cc, FP red BB turbo @1.85bar more in it, but It's mapped to last :) oh it is evil lol made my life a proper misery at times, but I love the thing, bought it new in August 08, this happened in March '10 :weary:

Evo in the cold, Clio in the garage!

Running my X over winter for a change, Clio is taking up garage space so I may as well slip and slide in the Evo :) I'd forgotten how shiney it was under the crap, Blackfire seems to be protecting it well, it's not been washed since October!!! :flushed:Washing cars is one of the most horrible...

Martin's Track Clio 182 Project Thread

yep, wear stupidly fast, ds1.11 are much better, similar performance but less harmful 'dust' and last like ds2500s

    Bedding in my DS1.11

yes, I live about a mile away from the motorway, braking a bit heavier than normal at 30-40mph then full abuse onto the motorway. Got home and parked it up overnight, they are superb, bite like the rc6 but loads less dust and last much longer too, pity they're so expensive though :(

Steering wheel what you got ??

had an omp GP 330mm and found it horrible, changed to a 350mm omp WRC and love it

    Bedding in my DS1.11

They need a serious roasting, like 500 degrees plus, then a complete cool down, I did a few high speed slow downs on an empty motorway. Much much better pad than the rc6 I removed

    My First GoPro Advice

agreed, 1080p@60fps is more than 99.9% of people will ever need though imo, in fact my laptop has difficulty running it lol

    My First GoPro Advice

If you want a 4, I'd buy a silver, specs are way beyond what most will actually use without going near the black.....but the screen is a bit of a gimmick if you have the remote or app IMO, even when I had my basic hero 1 I never had an issue lining up shots, the wide angle lens is so forgiving...

    Steering wheel decisions

I absolutely hated the 330mm wheel had, much too small and flat, changed it to a 350mm WRC with a bit of dish to help the driving position and love it

    Homemade doorcards

Foamex came from a local sign maker, door handles from JJC and the door release spacers from cm composites, spacers aren't really needed though imo :)

    Oil cooler repair?

I bought my Mocal used, since I fitted it there's always been a slight weep, tightened it before but made no difference. I removed the lines to ptfe the joint that was oily, refitted, it was now dripping, D'oh! Removed the cooler and there's a crack where the fitting meets the core, can this be...

    Boot pins fitted

Nice job! Something I'm considering, although I'd want to get rid of the oe locking mech. Anyone know if I can just disconnect and still have the doors off central locking?

Battery done, kill switch done, so finally running again. Finished lowering the seat bases and steering column today, cage back in, seats not back in yet, then it's bumper off and canister and anything else not needed off  Sprint is on the 27th, scrutineering at 10.00 and the 1st cars out...

    Fuel tank weight?

Being plastic I'd be shocked if there was anything significant, if at all weight saving, to make it worthwhile
