    Who made the coilovers that the big thing to remember the kit 1 sounds like most type the second sounds like the AST or the racer cup setup (unlikly as that unusable on the road). SPend a forutne or not at all H and R are very good and worthwhile

    For anyhting you should spend a fortune or forget it and replace with just new stuff. If you chnage your springs for anyhting should chnage the shocks but there few decient sets out thers so keep to stock unless your've got other good reason not to.

    Gearbox is rubish in stock form (pk6) hence why Mike changed I belive the box will tear itself to shreds in time with loads of torque through it the phase 2 was better but not much. Its still quite heavy though I belive.

    The 182 cup was a cup price cut spec 182 with the cup packs as standard it had to keep abs for the EU laws and it sold well. I don't understand why you think its a marketing exerscise all cars are at th end of the day.

    Yep but why. CHeck about speedo sensors though you might need a box with sensor so get the right one if the box has the sensor its not an issue if it does or dones't but if you get a box which does't have it your car needs wiring mods to make it work otherwise.

    5 or 10 weight oil are fine 10 is ok donw to -20 though wheras 5 weight is ok down to -25 its better to use 5 though on choice.

    There no easy answer if it were me I'd get a phase 1 looms and swop all the wiring for the phase 1 and use the 182 engine and get a Cup belt system so you can run the simple aux belt setup. But there loads of ways round the issues.

    As jon said check the winhbones also top mount, engine mounts and top bearings can be wonky. Check the wheels ballencing has been done check the tracking and then bearings you can tell if them though jack the car up and check for play/spin them. Then check check driveshafts

    You cannot go wrong you don't need to woryy check the wipers are low down and check there postion then undo them (one nut in the center of the pivot point) them pull them off then undo the scuttle panel cover and have a look.

    Holly is right you should have a road legal type and there very few which are but arguing if you can use them I don't see as an issue if you've all the mods declaired and a garage fits the ECU then its the fauly for not checking even if you do it yourself I don't see any issue with insurance...
