The coil pack on the 172 is a all in one units £50 ish fopr a new one the dalers keep them in stock
The 1.2 use both seperate and one off units (depends on age etc)
The 1.4 and 1.6 use the same type of single coil packs
The single coils are £35 ish each depend on discount you get and...
Nope not realy if its out by a lot then you have a broken gearbox sensor or system if you have a car with a gearbox sesnor or the abs ring or computer is faulty or the dash is check with thi trick
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=109201
it all works ok on the dash front as...
Personaly for that price I'd get a new one Sales arn't great cna get a good deal this time of year and fo the extra £ least you get a new car and won't be worth the extra but might as well IMO.
The renault manaul tells you to lock the wheels Haynes don't seem to have checked with renault thanks for the update nice you found the ansewer and posted it here though
No one listens I've been saving for ages they scub but its only noticed when the cars running either lowered or being driven with the suspension compressed a lot.
Not on the back without plates only the front as you can get can get camber bolts or modify the bolt spacing.
Rear setups very...
If the rev counter stays steads etc then there no real issues unless its obviously bad only other possibilities are failing sensor or throttle body being dirty etc.
Well first things first the imobiliser light not going of shows the imobiliser ins't deactivating nothing to do with the TDC or pump sensor (you don't have cam sensor you have a crank sensor for the pump) so you need to find out why thats happeneing most likly the imobiliser decoder ring round...
Don't bother IMO stock are a better shock. The ride isn't as good its more choopy I find only advanatge if you can call it that is they last longer and have a great warently plus there a few pence cheaper than OE.
Personaly I'd never just upgrade the springs as Renault setup is the better one either spend a lot or not at all.
Those ones you've linked to are APEX which I'd definatly not recomend Eisback are the only ones i'd recomend if your only willing to change springs and won't keep the better stock...
Personaly stick with new stock bushes or what you have now forget the uprated stuff which is sold as its rubish.
The fronts are easy the Haynes tells you want to do or else have a look in the members guide as the 172 etc are all the same front end wise.
Check the throttle body is working fully i the cable ins't stuck its a common problem for them to stick, new cables are quite cheap and easy enough to do.
I'#ve used the T1R and S and there rubish IMO I wouldn't recomend them IMo get the continential premium contact 2's the 1's are better but no longer in production there better IMO in what I value ie noise level etc than the F1's although the F1's do have there advanatages.
Best setup IMo is the stock one if you want to chnage you have to spend a fortune and make the car a much more hard setup for track use making road use much more uncomfortable.
All this for the win stuff is stupid but if you realy want to win forget drivetrain setups you want cold performace tyres and depending on conditions snow chains.
Check the driveshaft for damaged gaiter plus check the bottom ball joint for damage.
As for the top mount use a spanner quick no need to go massivly tight.
Sounbds like a load of potential issue firtly I'd say a damaged driveshafst/CV joint then it could be tracking and also a loose abs sensor.
There no haynes for the 172 the normal manaul cover most of what you'd ever want there the same cars realy.
I've got a file for the 2.0 engine but you...
Which one was it was it the one on the runners or the end of the manifold?
End of the manifold one is £90 ish. its the MAP sensor the one on the runners is about £80 its the air temp one best try a scrap yard or a tunners as they rumove them when they do throttle bodies kits etc so have them...
30 minutes if your lucky though rust etc a pain I've had to strip hubs off before now to get ball joints out.
To check for the issue just jack the car up remove the hweel and see any cuts in the gaiter or play in it.
