RS Tuning is up around Leeds...its Pmurray on here (IIRC) but a lot of people have been to him, and he does seem to be well recommended...I've not used him yet, but think I will when the time comes due to his reputation on here.
You could just sand down the raised numbers, and use a modelling brush very carefully for the black numbers.
Middo is the man who can...but I think he's been uber busy recently with work for side badges and engine covers.
Rich is one of the main people to speak to. I wouldn't recommend it at all...although I'm new to the washing my car properly gang!
Halfords has a 3 for 2 on car cleaning products...so you can get the
'Shampoo - Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo Conditioner 500ml - £5.99
Polish - Autoglym Super...
There is no pic on the website! :o
"Please fine attached a picture of my Renault Clio Sport 172. We used Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo and Conditioner and Gold Class Clear Coat Liquid Wax, Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner, NXT All Metal Polysh on the exhaust and polished lip on the wheels...
neither mate. Its a very aggressive way of working!
What are you planning on doing with it?
I would clean the car, then use Autoglym Super Resin Polish (SRP) and then see if there are any marks that need looking at!
If you're using it as part of your cleaning regime...then you might...
Does the car make a noise (beeping) when you try to lock the car as you leave it? There are 2 small rubber bits with plastic 'buttons' that go in when door is closed. One of these snapped on my PH2 and had to stick a sock behind the plastic piece where the seatbelt goes to push the connector out...
Its £144 ish from Renault. Carbon Fibre ones from Ktec are circa £99...or wait until people can get one on here...I was lucky and got one that Has had lying around. They guy who comes on here BitsRus does do them every now and again, but there are some issues with people and him (I've never...
Likewise...Had a mid-sport note stealth system. Was built while I waited...and I was (and still am!) V.happy with the result. It was a good few hundred miles round trip from Telford in the W.Midlands, but the trip back was worth it...although I was deaf in my left ear from the exhaust having...
Let us know how you get on. :)
If you refrain from steering when you are trickling along...and give it a little more gas (ie if I turn the wheel...then straighten up while still moving)...there is no noise! (even though its only a couple of miles per hour!)
I don't think that its the strut knocking as you'd probably hear that when pulling off...it happens when you're parking. As in you're not moving v.fast, so the power steering is having to work. Once you are moving...it isn't an issue. I know where you're coming from...but I honestly don't think...
Yeah, the 182 colour is Arctic Blue...there is a difference, but you won't tell until you see it on the car.
Also, the 182s have the washer jets...whereas the Cup has the blanking plates.
The issue is though, that it wasn't there when I got the car, so what has changed to cause the noise? Admittedly, more miles are on the car...but its gotta be something, as its doing my head in, and when you're parking people seem to think that your car is a shed because of the noise it makes...
Up until the end of last month, I was paying approx £250 a month on petrol alone...then there's insurance, plus Road Tax, plus general wear and tear and maintenance...you might not realise it, but you've a hell of a lot less to pay out than you would have with a 172 or 182...and I'm not even...
Where is the pic of the min-y-don??? Did you do the photoshop? ;)
It was a good laugh...only down point was the fact that the temperature dropped by about 10 degrees by the seafront. Was a good laugh, a good bunch of people and fun was had by all (from what I can gather!)
As for the...
No. I did see the Mini driver heading towards us...waving at every mini as he went past, then looked at me and put his head down...cheeky bugger!
It reminded of when we had the Clio's in Ironbridge last year...a biker was going past at about 10mph...pointing his finger going "and another...
Four Ashes will do it for circa £350...but I've got someone who does the other work on my car. I buy the Cambelt, Aux belt and pulleys, and he'll do it for me for £300...he's done several before, and I trust him which is a bonus.
The credit card is for emergencies only. Don't believe in...
No, being a good lad. Gotta book the Cambelt in soon...so can't really blow £800 this month! Will save the money for the next time a 'Ring trip is done...don't get paid till the 28th!!! :dead:
Thanks anyway tho' Scott...its food for thought. :)
That guy with the convertible Cooper S...one hell of a nice car...everytime he changed down or pressed the clutch, the engine burbled...to the point where Av took his car apart as he thought the noise was something knocking on the car! ;)
Good bunch of people, and a great run...I'm really...
