Yeah, but the guy that was getting that done was paying SILLY money...several grand!
The valver or Williams engine would be a better bet. Or even the Williams engine with the Megane bottom end for more torque. 2live or edde are the men in the know with stuff like that.
Williams and valver...
Likewise.
Pro-speed all the way...Got a stealth done on the Cup...exactly what I wanted, and made while you waited from scratch...rather than taken off a shelf and stuck on!
what car: mk2 clio 172 Cup
brand/type: Pro Speed Stealth cat back
approx cost: £318 new
noisyness: You are aware of the noise over standard (thinner glass and less soundproofing on the Cup!) But sounds nice when giving the car some 'beans'...also liveable for general use.
fitting: Was built...
Mike @ Rentech bought the one that Mike T had on his V6...don't know if he ever fitted it, but remember seeing it for sale and feeling VERY, VERY tempted!
You will need to accept a crap job with crap pay and crap hours to get your foot in the door...I started on a 24/7 helpdesk in 2000 for £12K...then went to Fujitsu supporting central government computer systems, then have done a few years contracting/2ndline roles and just this week started in a...
There was a lad with a Rover Tomcat (220 Coupe) who seemed to have lost power...my mate took a look at his CAF...and there was a pidgeon who must have flown into it...and died in there! :dead:
As you're down in South Wales...you could go to Pro-speed in Cardiff...they'll make you one custom built for your car however you want it.
Their website is www.pro-speedexhausts.com
Charlie's work makes him a bit of a legend on here! :)
What about the modifications??? If you have as many as this car has had...and don't declare, and some git bangs into you...then you won't have a leg to stand on, as your insurance would be invalidated!
No matter how good a driver you are (or think you are) there is always someone who sees...
If you buy the genuine kit, the pullies need replacing as they are plastic...and there's no point in replacing the belt for the plastic bits to snap! You can get the kits from Renault...
GDI do them...see here...
Clarky, I see you're over in Wolves...have you tried Four Ashes Renault Specialists (formerly Cliospares)??? They do proper Renault parts, and its about £350 for Cam belt and Aux belt plus fitting and new tensioners, etc. They can do the rest with Gen Renault parts and you will almost certainly...
No mate...just a standard 53 Reg car!
Kully has private plate with CUP on it tho' and there is a bloke somewhere near Wolves with an inferno 182 Cup with *CUP on their reg too.
Am tempted...but CUP is too one car orientated! (Well, the 197 Cup as well when its out, the 182 Cup and the...
Agreed...if you like a car, you keep it...unless all of the other owners have bought the car thinking that they can make a profit out of a CAT C or D car (some people have been trying on 172s, 182s and even V6s!) :quiet:
There's got to be a reason for it changing hands so regularly...and I...
Looks clean...always great when the motor is freshly cleaned, and finished off:approve:...just watch the bloody flies...my car is littered with them now! :dead:
PS. Update your user CP so that you can receive PMs as I can't PM you about stuff going on when something is happening. ;)
I do love flame red out of all the 172 Colours...although liquid yellow looks nice (Thanks Jay! ;))
But here's my fav colour of a 172...the Mondial Blue on the Cup...
Which part of Shropshire are you in? I'm over in Telford.
I've had an ITG panel filter in my 172Cup since the back end of January. They're always coming up for sale on here. It makes the engine feel more responsive, I don't know about noise though, as I've got a custom exhaust which improves...
Brun had one a couple of years ago when I first joined...not sure if he did it, or bought it after the transplant...could always PM him to see if he has the info you need. :)
Jesus Ollie...you are one hell of a lucky lad...but I spose you already know that. Glad you were alright after that, and that West Mercia Police have supplied the pics...its a good reminder that you should have put a couple of quid on the lottery that day! ;) :)
I'm well aware of what the M54...
Kully...the only man who can get lost using sat nav! :quiet:...wouldn't mind...but the building was a big one on the side of the A50...I thought is that it...Kully drove past it! all in jest tho'
Was a good drive up, and back wasn't too bad apart from J13 exit being closed and having to...
