Try getting a chip in a windscreen repaired...got an extra years no claims, and the overall price to pay was £20 more expensive with another year's NCB...barstewards...they (as I've now found out) will not cover a provisional driver for my car...the missus who's 35!!! They said I can always...
We've all been to our first meet once :o...its after the 2nd or 3rd you get used to faces, then put names to them...then onwards and upwards.
It will become easier...my first CS meet was up in the NW back in May 2004...memories...;)
I probably wouldn't know a lot of the guys now, as there...
Fairplay, never knew about the add another layer straight after. Definately has to be SRP'd before EGP. 6*12 hour coats...couldn't leave the car untouched driving wise for that to be do-able for me!
Re: My 182 failed MOT miserably!
My Cup failed its first MOT with a handbrake that wasn't tightly secured onto the floor (I never honestly noticed though!) and my rear brakes weren't up to much...had the handbrake mounting bolts tightened, and rear pads replaced...sailed through. I know...
use it as lightly as possible...very thin layer, leave for an hour, then take off and put another layer on about 12 hours after (in the same way as first application) if you want to seal it fully.
Obviously Rich, Brazo,Al (amongst others) would be the best people on a subject like this.
Its on the poll...and if it doesn't make it for March, will slip it in for April...needs to be done before the weather heats up! Make sure anyone else you know in the W.Mids area gets their votes in if thats what they're up for. :)
Nigel, I honestly wouldn't recommend somewhere I wouldn't be happy to go to myself...we were down there in November, but had new exhaust since then, so want to see if thats done anything (if anything!)...there is a cafe next door, and you can get a cuppa and charge it to the RR...but obviously...
Being an Sony Ericsson man...how can I get this file to view these vids???
Have been on Nokia.co.uk typed 3gp in the search...nothing relevant pops up! :dead:
But Mat,
Vauxsport has a pool table in the back...it was found while the last 2 cars were going through...free to use! and the price makes it best for me! (£25 per car if more than 5 cars!!! :approve:
Sorry if I didn't get to speak to you...Jay and I did try and get around everyone...although there were a lot of new faces which is always a good thing. We were all first timers once, but you've got to make yourself known...we're all a friendly bunch if you see a group of people, introduce...
Ian, you can always come down when we're having another one...there was a Golf VR6 there last time, so all welcome. The only thing is that they don't do 4wd cars
Before the meet!
Shifnal Services meeting point
On the way there...
The Scooby
Usual suspects
The Vees
Nando's
Sorry about the blurred images...Mandy's still getting used to the new camera!!!
We might be doing another RR up in the W.Mids if you're up for it.
Its in Shifnal near telford, and they do 3 runs...its £30 if less than 5 people, and £25 if more than 5.
I don't know about them being 'the best'...but they are reasonably priced, and pretty accurate.
Donny
Got mine in April 2004 (4,700 on the clock).
Still loving it.
The FF..is full fat (ie the 172 with everything in)...extra weight. ;)
Just don't go opening that there can of worms! :quiet: ;)
I will tiptoe round it. Don't want to rush it and mess things up! Will be using the mf cloth, and no nails whatsoever! not even gonna put pressure on it, just rub it over gently and in small bits.
Don't worry about it on Sunday...we're there for a meet mate, and my bumper has oodles of layer...
I've been using the SRP a few times...not perfect as they are light surface scratches...looks fine to me, but I know that the scratches are there...admittedly I've got a line in the door where the wind caught it and bounced it off an anti-ram raid bollard outside the local Currys store! :dead...
Got a few light scratches on the car, trying to attempt to blend the scratch with the paint around it.
Thinking of AG Bodywork conditioning shampoo...then SRP, then paint renovator, then SRP the bits I've done with the Paint Renovator, then EGP it once (or twice if I'm brave/weather holds...
Erm yeah....that fooker in the 182 was DAMN fast! on my back bumper upto just over 70 *cough* :race:
If its the one with a huge Renault diamond emblazoned across the rear 3/4 of the car!
Claire,
One thing I would say though, is don't get another Renault one...they all fail...its not a case of it, but rather when!
I wouldn't recommend K-Tec, as I've never seen, heard or had one in the flesh. I only recommend Pro-Speed as its what I have got, and I wouldn't want someone to...
Like I say, mine is behind the passenger light (or around there). It happens every now and again, and is like a loud ticking. Its more noticeable outside than in. But is more apparent after giving the car some beans!
Is this same thing on the passenger side? Just wondering as mine is making that noise on the passenger side of the car...not constant...just every now and again...its a 53 plate Cup!
Cheers in advance
