I had a look at one of these at last Sunday's track day, very impressed, they really are a switch on and go timer, automatic track recognition etc......Saving my pennies for one :)
Thanks for the feedback:) I'm going to order some RC6, I always ironx the wheels a couple of days after a track day at the most, my fronts are already slightly stained from the 1st day when I had no cooling and the brakes were on fire! I do like to keep it looking as good as possible :)
My DS2500 front pads are starting to crumble after 4 track days so time for new pads. They're decent pads but don't give me the bite I really want. I'm tempted by CL RC6 but have read stories about them eating paintwork/wheels.....I know it's a track car but I do try to keep it nice, so what's...
I'd have the RS-Rs again, apart from a slightly soft sidewall that can be sorted with a bit more pressure I really like them, hope the NS-2Rs don't make me slower! :tonguewink:
Some really fast cars out on Sunday! That civic that passed before the hairpin was one of the fastest cars on the day, sounded great too :)
RS-Rs are now dead, NS-2Rs next time out :fearscream:
yes there is definitely room on top, although some sort of bracket needs made as the cooler is longer than the flat portion of the crash bar, no big deal though. I put it under as I had pre made hoses and they were long and didn't want to just coil them in the engine bay. Yes, 2 plates, one for...
I put a wanted ad on here, got a mocal 10 row with thermostatic plate and braided hoses.....which I'd prefer as there's less risk of them being cut open by rubbing/stones etc, worth spending a bit extra. It made ~ 20 degree difference to my car on track so happy with that. Not sure I'd want a...
Well the Clio didn't last the day on Sunday, a misfire meant I had to spectate for most of it, still a La Ferrari turned up and sounded epic and looked way better in the flesh than I'd imagined!
Tommi being told he now has to fit a front oxygen sensor....not happy
I used an old analogue meter I keep in the garage, mainly for continuity, accuracy unknown but the fact all 4 are about the same would point away from them being the cause???? Could all 4 be way off?
Just took some screen shots of the oxy sensors, I'd appreciate your opinion!
Thanks Mick, I'll take a pic of the graph with both sensors when I get home. I've not seen the front 02 sensor error before.
I checked resistance at all 4 injectors and they were all 30ohms, so nothing odd.
Does that just leave the coil pack?
I had yesterday's track day cut short due to a wot hesitation:worried:
I checked the usual, leads, plugs, tdc sensor, nothing obvious. Plugged in the RS tuner box and there was a front 02 sensor in the Orange memory, deleted and it's gone. Would this cause my hesitation?
I know the voltage...
That fictional character doesn't exist so you're out of luck....It's a track car, the white bits are staying! It'll be stickered up when it enters the sprint series
A friend did them on a lift, wasn't handy, rear beam had to be dropped and old ones pressed out, they were well in! Not something I wanted to do on the ground at all. Rear end feels tight now!
Connected and tidied up thanks to Ai autosport
Stealth like

Another track day this Sunday, can't wait to see how the pms arb and cooler perform
Finally some rear beam bushes so I can get my PMS arb on :)
10 row mocal oil cooler kit to keep my high track temps in check. Made a start fitting it as soon as I opened the box :)
they were riveted on, looked good but no way good enough for a road car or if really fussy. I've no idea if they were genuine or copies though, but tidy they weren't!
my set up cost ~£20 and works extremely well.
2x 100mm bass ports off eBay (~£4 each) are a tight tidy push fit and meter of spiral duct for a tenner. Bent two bits of waste stainless for deflector plates.
not pimp but very cheap and functional!
