Id love to strip my cup out, put another 172 engine in the rear of the car (to drive the rear wheels) link the two gearboxes together and the fettle the engines to produce maximum bhp. Imagine that bugger on the drag strip leaving most for dust...mmmmmmmmm
I quite like the idea of the V6...
I slow down a bit, piss them off, and then if the speed limits allow I drop the car to 2nd or 3rd and drop the accelerator, the look on their faces is class when they see you leaving them for dust!!!
I use Optimax, or when its nearer to payday and money running low, I use Sainsburys Super Unleaded, I know its only 97 RON, but its better than the 95 RON for the engine.
A LAD 200 cup is a blatent lie, the people reckon that they can up the power on the cups to 200bhp but refuse to have their car tested to prove this figure!!! If it was 200 bhp, then wouldnt they want it RRd to prove this, especially if someone else offered to pay for it?
Oops...Alledgedly!!! ;)...
Its actually a British plate, as its from Northern Ireland which is classed as a part of Great Britain. If it was an Irish plate (as such) it would be black text on white plate, with county initial, year of car and then 4 or 5 digits. As for IRA terrorist, I think you are being a prat IMO.
If you run the engine hard, it should give you more power, but in the long run the engine wont last as long...the more mileage the 172/182 engine does, the better it feels...mine felt better after hitting 10K than it did below that mark.
If you imagine that youve pressed the button on the keyfob in your pocket in a car park, and dont open any doors then it will relock/auto re-arm. If you unlock it, then open a door and walk off after closing it, it will stay unlocked as the system will know that youve opened it, and so will not...
How on Earth can you say you went about things the wrong way, and then continue with a statement like that? I think you may be better inclined to go onto another forum where people care about what you are trying to say!!!
The Clio Cup is an affordable (or reasonably so) hot hatch. Its not designed (or priced) to be the new Lamborghini Murcielago equivalent...if thats what you want, then dont let us stop you going out there and buying one! ;)
The people here have a common interest...the Clio or one of its many...
You can get a thing called "digi-chirp". imagine 2 bubbles around the car, the first outside the car, and the second inside the car. If the outside "bubble" is penetrated (so someone is looking in the window) it will let off a chirp or a buzz in the Cliffords case, and if the window is smashed...
Leo, with the 182, the twin exhausts give the game away, whereas with the 172s (unmodded of course) there is no exhaust showing so it resembles a normal Clio with a few bulges here and there in the bodywork. Also the 182 is attempting to copy the V6 in its look from the rear with the exhausts.
I think that the 172 cup is the most "in your face" version of the 172, (due to its unique colour) but even then, there are 1.2 cars with a blue which is similar to the cups but not the same, and its only those in the "know" who are aware of its capability...most people think the 172s are just a...
Ive had a little straight line run with 2lives Willy 1...alright, mine is standard and 2lives is a little bit fettled with, but after 100 he left me for dust...
Remember, the Williams were made when the shell of the car had less safety features, so was a considerably lighter shell, so the...
Thats true, I had the piece of plastic that covers where the headlight washer jets would be on a 172 (but obviously arent on the cup!) The Renault parts computer wasnt able to point the lad in parts to the actual part that I wanted...he knew what I was talking about, just couldnt find the part...
The cables under the front seat come loose quite easily. Its a 2 min job to fix, it happened to my cup, and I assume that the seat design is more or less the same (apart from materials obviously!) Although, I wonder how many 182s have had, or are going to have the obligatory Serv/airbag light...
