I popped into renault last week and got a price, it's £150 for all the parts now:
0000105400
0000150901
0000149600
7711381801
When I asked the parts guy was adamant these arn't part numbers, but they will go through the system fine.
Single connector with 2 wires yeah, the loom was a bit iffy and common fault so Renault sold a new connector with loom (The sort KTEC sell)
From memory the loom on these run straight to the ECU, you could run a continuity test from one wire to the ECU pin but it would be a pain in the ass lol
Crank sensor is right on top of the gearbox where it meets the block, a tad out of sight and awkward to get to. If you have a volt meter check for voltage to the coilpack.
The item being tightened
Nothing obvious mate, couldn't see any bolts etc
I'm sure once it's out, it will stand out though - I nearly died when I took the mount off (Then swore a lot at not going with my gut feeling)
None taken, this is one of three (eek) so luckily I had other car's to use. I've got an engine on the bench so hopefully I'll have it out on the lift this weekend and see what's salvageable (Watch this space for the mess!)
I told the guy all I wanted was home recovery but he insisted he wanted a look lol Mind you he spent an hour looking so hats off to him (He assumed it was a 1.2 at first)
I think if it was age it would be consistent across the belt, it looks like something's came loose and chewed the belt. When...
After the AA guy diagnosed the PH1 with a faulty ECU and or Loom, I replaced them and it still didn't start. So I started to dig and thought I would check what I assumed was the issue when it happened and what do you know. Slipped timing and bent valves sounds about right.
New engine time :p
Black and red is so much win ! I need to invest in a new card drastically, anybody have any recommendations ? Preferably an ATI, was thinking the 7850/7950.
I remember reading a while back something about the pads having two different part numbers and there being a difference in them. I believe one needs filing down the edge's to fit correctly and one has slightly more surface area...
They should all work with each other, what's the build for ? How much you looking to budget for case wise.
Personally I would get a slightly higher rated power supply for headroom in the future.
Im using the NZXT Phantom at the moment, great case - well thought through and good air flow.
Big...
Looking at the pattern I'd say it was the display wiring, sometimes the cable can rub and fray in the hinges on poor designs.
Tried an external monitor ?
The first time I pushed mine in 2nd I nearly ended up on the other side of the road, a mix of inexperience, crap tyres and shot trackrods more then likely !
Oh and one of the tyres was at 20 PSI !
I've put this one in an older thread but I think it's worth posting again:
However I would simply invest in a new sticker to piss him off to no end, something on the lines of "I don't race s*****x corsa's"
In situations like this I would normally try in safe mode to get the data off or do an install of windows over the current partition but without formatting it - then get your data off that way.
02 PH2 Flamer with 68k on the clock that required paint correction, a new grill and belt's/dephaser doing. Had new tyres all round and almost mint alloys, completely standard.
Paid £650 or just over 1k if you include the belts etc.
Has anybody experienced a dephaser pully that's broken to the point it causes the SERV light to come on ?
The thing sounds like a transit and has a rough kick over on the dephaser. I managed to get the light off but as soon as I blip the pedal it comes back on. Code readers not giving me much in...
Best of luck with this fella, I've got the exact same issue with the ph1 - checked relays, done continuity tests on the loom. Still no start. Tried relays and new sensors all round.
