I'm sure we have a thread dedicated to "Cup Culling Season" Every time the white stuff rears it's head lol
In all honesty you won't notice a difference, Between the PH2 I've drove and the PH1 with no aircon and cup suspension the difference is negligible - My PH1 feels a little more raw at best...
Hi all
A flamer project I recently obtained had a leaking radiator, after checking it appears the drain plug was over tightened and it split the thread in half causing a leak, I checked the local scrap yards and they are all 1.2's which does not appear to have said plug ?
You can see which...
For me, cheaper belt changes plus removal of something that wasn't working/will never be used - plus in a silver car it really don't get that hot inside :) In a black car it's mandatory imo
While I do like having the aircon in the heat we have had recently (Sport PH2) I always prefer driving the PH1 with cup aux setup - No idea why but it just feel's more special and raw.
Leverage is always your friend with these, I normally stick a screwdriver in the grooves and rest against the calliper and pop an extension bar on a wrench.
Would be interested to see what people use as well, not something I've looked into but really should.
Best of luck with the data, you didn't happen to take a backup before the format by any chance ? :P
Just sent the below to the other half who is currently in Scotland, she lives with her gran at the moment....

Got a facebook post from her 5 mins ago asking me...
Hi, All
Does anybody know if the piston ring tolerances are in the workshop manuals ? I've trawled through the 5 or so I have but can't find any mention.
On that note, does anybody know what they should be on a standard engine :rasp:
Cheers Paul
Bingo. Exact same view, I've no affiliation with apple at all - When another company does it better I'll get their product and so on. I've never felt inclined to go out and buy a mac now I have an IPhone.
I have mates who seem to be "collecting" products though, Unsure as to why. If my 3G was...
They are very capable track cars in standard guise, just keep on top of parts as they are quite high maintenance (Specially when it comes to servicing).
I took it into work on a VM and asked the entire team (I work in IT) to perform one simple task... Turn it off. After 15 mins of head scratching the battery was pulled and the laptop undocked ;)
In it's current form I have no interest in using it again.
Last mine sat and clicked, the loom to the TDC was fubar - Water and all, it's worth a try replacing it before going down the new lump route.
Said sensor, it's on the top of the gearbox where it meets the block. 2 Bolts.
lol believe it or not that's what my PH1 looks like at the moment with a phantom wiring issue !
If I think back (WAAAAAY back) when I had my 1.2 8v - I think the fuel line sits just above the inlet manifold, so they may come apart.
You not got any mates who works for a garage ? it's not one of...
The fuel line is sealed ;) Just be careful not to hit it with a spanner as they are quite fragile.
You can see the one in the F4R above, it's the black strip below the metal inlet on the front
The amount lost does seem excessive, the inlet manifold provides channels into each cylinder for the fuel and air mix, one side will have the cylinder head and one side will have the throttle body that controls the availability of air, the more air available the more fuel mixed (Basically...
Got to love videos ;)
This will help you with some of the bit's - also gives some insight into what's behind some of the plastics, the inlet manifold you can make out now.
That's the intake manifold, I can't quite make out from the picture if the fuel rail is attached to it (The sport's is split into 2 and it connect's to the bottom half)
If it is be very cautious with it lol
Your best bet is to get your hands on a workshop manual or a haynes, it will give you...
Look's much of the same mate with the above, just has a different manifold :)
I'd start with the easy bits, filter, intake bend, HT leads, coil pack, throttle body, manifold cover, manifold itself then you can remove the manifold and probably just push the rest to the side. I don't think you...
