History and receipts are everything, the more the better. Personally I would spend as much on the car as you can, there is no point trying to polish a turd!
Thanks for your reply, I did place the order through the check a while before that but if it didn't process at your end till 11:50 then I do appologise. As for the fitting guide, I did have problems with the centring part. I followed the guide to use the brace to mark the holes. I centred the...
Well I used the guide to drill the holes and it was slightly out. Then had to do it the another way to make them right. Yeah I do get they are Motorsport orientated but still think it's a flaw. Don't really see it as being done to save weight, could save more weight by driving with no shoes...
Sorry was a bit vague. They do look well built, but I as a whole thought the finish of the mounts was average. The brace looks good just annoying it fouls a standard part on most these cars. As for the fitting guide, hmm it's not really great. Kind of skims over the process, plus the method...
Depends prolines offer better ride but sportlines drop it more, or there are cooksports. Will have my set of two week old cooksports for sale next week if you intrested
Yeah the only way I could get it to possibly fit would be cutting the cover over the holes. Might look for a cheap broken engine cover to experiment. Just annoying as they only needed to raise it 1cm at most to clear it. In all I am happy with the handling upgrade, however the delivery, fitting...
Bit of a weird question but does anyone have the pm top mount+ brace kit and managed to fit their engine cover.
I don't mind modding it to fit, but from what I can see its right over the back mounting bolts.
I know I'll get people say its for handling not looks etc, but spent a lot of time...
Check this thread might help as he had the same problem with the top hat

Try dropping the car on the deck then tighten the top hat as there should be a gap.
Yes they are defiantly an improvement over standard and still have a good ride quality. However I believe there is a few weeks wait on new stock atm, so might be worth considering prolines.
Hi mate, glad you like the springs. As you say check the haven't twisted round, they will normally seat fine if they have a bit, but equally it can make the top cap slip off the spring causing it to sit at a slant.
I liked my prox 4 and T1Rs. If you looking for and alternative stay clear of rainsports, IMO they are crap!
Edit: have you tried ears.co.uk as they sell toyo
Dont think anyone is trying to attack you personally so chill out. They are just making a point that Ktec seem to over exaggerate their power claims. Almost 195 bhp seems a bit high for your mods as most people running rs2/itb only make that or slightly more.
As for the remap, I have the rs...
As above however I would also sugest a whiteline rarb. I know it's not factory but will really improve the handling without compromising and of the factory ride quality.
And if your not worried about a bit more bumpy ness then maybe look for solid top mounts if your going to replace them.
Well you could get my setup a few posts above for about the same price as gaz coilovers, which will handle better than the Gaz and still keep it driveable around town.
My main problem is koni new are over double the price of cup shocks, so really need to justify if the offer a big enough improvement over the cup shocks
Makes sense if it's mainly a road car. I have cup shocks, cooksports, pure Motorsport top mounts + strut brace and whiteline rarb. Only cost a bit more than budget coilovers and handles brilliantly. Also comfy enough to go over speed bumps without braking your back.
