i still use either nxt or gold class shampoo and a schmit from chemical guys.....
they say most of the marks are instigated when you dry your car.
chemical guys do an awesome drying towel - mega plush that ive been using for the last few weeks...
the initial oil problems were caused by a cracked piston.....
again due to bad mapping and detonation - but im not going to go into that bit.
over pressure in the sump was blowing the oil out the breather.
engine was fully rebuilt (twice - maybe more!) and was fine when it was sold onto...
oh geez......
dont let david see my post!
there must be a lot of crap on them if you cant see the gold through it - looks like corrosion to me - i might be wrong though...... i normall am!
i dont think youll get that back to gold fella.
cant see on the picture very clear but is the gold under all that black sh1t? looks more like corrosion!
if its tar and grime try a pressure washer and some tar remover
good luck!
bit of a long shot and a lot of trouble to swap it over......
needs the omex to run, plus the omex on that car is spliced into the old loom. returning that car back to standard isnt really an option even on a single throttle body as it would need a remap.
nice one ladies.....
glad you had a fun and safe trip - just as well i said i wasnt coming as i was called back to work early on tuesday :(
will have to join you next time you's go
i did spot you fella, just thought you were warning me about police up ahead......
then i seen your ugly mug!
oh and get a hands free fella.......
cheers!
probably rusty connections and build of of white salt on connections.
take them out - try some sand paper on connections to rough them up and remove scale.
or try a voltmeter on the terminals to see if you have a voltage.
could be a number of things:
coolant temp sensor as already mentioned
coil pack damp - plugs on spark plugs damp and need dried out - spray with wd40
or tdc sensor located ontop of gearbox - might be dirty and needs wiped.
i'd start off with them and see how you get on
