They are a struggle on your own so I would recommend a second body to lend a hand with a big pry bar etc

Cotton (in my experience) do not filter as well as foam. A foam filter that is regularly cleaned correctly and oiled correctly will filter better.
As for noise...all I can say is that my ITG is loud
I run and personally would recommend an ITG cylinder foam filter. The one I run is a jc67/70 and from camskill is only around £42. Cotton type filters are never that great in my experience
I went from PE2's to Contact Sport 2's and yes Michelin's are better but it's negligible. Conti's seem quite a hard compound and if I'm going to be picky, slightly noisier than PE2's but I would be more than happy to save that bit of money again and buy Conti's
Posing another question that is slightly related....
The general consensus is that the 205 width is preferred. How are the Michelin Pilot Sport Cups as a sole track tyre as they only come in 205/50 15.
