As soon as I seen the title I knew it was going to be this car, haha. It's been on there for ages as I've been looking for Twingo GT's and 133's for a while.
I wouldn't worry about it. Just do like you've said, keep the receipts of the bits and fill in the info in the booklet. Also like you've said it isn't going be worth much when selling it and if you're just planning on keeping it till it's dead then there is no problem.
I plan keeping my little...
Very strange! It sounds so similar to how mine sounded, the rhythm of the noise.
I mean if they have replaced everything tensioners, waterpump belts etc for a second time it's hard to tell what it could be. I was going to suggest the aux tensioner but if they have done that also...
The D4F...
Not sure about now but back when I used to do IT/Linux sysadmin stuff Word Press was pretty popular. Word Press with a nice theme and some plugins, should see you with a decent enough site.
Cool, Yes I changed the Belt, tensioner and water pump at the same time. As your noise is a little more high pitched than mine, the guys there could probably get a scope on and listen to where the noise is coming from, the water pump definitely could be the cause.
Keep us posted :)
If you can turn a spanner take off the centre timing belt cover and have a look with a small mirror. The gates tensioner I got had like a metal roller casing and had gates stamped on it. The genuine Renault one has INA stamped on it and has a plastic roller casing.
Hopefully solve your issue...
Can't remember how much mine was I bought it like 3-4 months ago and was too lazy to fit it until this week lol. I think it's about £70 for the tensioner and the belt.
I'd ask them what kit they fitted though to be sure.
When I did my cambelt years ago I had near on the same kind of noise maybe not as high pitched as yours but similar.
When I did mine I used a Gates timing belt kit and it drove me mad. A week ago I changed it again but this time I used a genuine Renault kit with an INA tensioner, and the...
Hey,
What's the correct way to set these? It says to do them up anti-clockwise to the start of the timing window then turn the engine over 6 times then turn it clockwise to the middle of the timing window.
But I've read here that people just do them anti-clockwise into the middle of the...
Hey probably a long shot but this has been doing my noggin in for ages now.
Got this noise sort of like rubbing on the passenger side, best way to describe it is like rubbing sandpaper. When I'm driving along it's fine, it only tends to only happen when either a) you set off after the car has...
