I thought the general feeling is that the water pumps rarely fail and so you dont have to do them out of caution when the belt is off?
BTW I'm waiting to hear back what parts they use before comitting anyway.
Just had a good quote from them for my timing belt and aux belt, not sure what exactly it includes with tensioners etc, but competitive nonetheless - anyone else recommend them?
Managed it with the mole grips, wasn't too bad.
Lost a fair amount of coolant though when I was letting air out, so I'll have to get it checked for anti-freeze :dapprove:
I do mate, but not a lot - mainly from Q Hill to Bowburn where I work, the odd trip to Gilesgate, Peterlee, Spennymoor and that's about it though.
I'm too old to be cruising every night like I used to!
Where you from then?
I missed a reasonable LY at Seaham a week before I bought mine. I then nearly bought an inferno as it was my favourite colour at the time by far from North Sheilds, but it was vastly overpriced and I wasn't keen on the Cup interior.
I was quite lucky as I went from him not budging much on...
First time I've ever seen that colour, doesn't look fantastic on my screen as it's a bit dark, but guessing it will look quite cool when you're next to it as I can just see the colour in areas of the car.
LY probably, but I'm not sure I could live with it as an everyday car.
I like BG when it's sunny and they're clean, but that's only about 0.2.5% of the time....
Sorry for upping the thread after ages, but what tool do you need?
I'm going to do mine tomorrow and so would rather get one than spend ages trying to get them off with something else.
Lumpy cold start.
Kinda wheel wobble thing I haven't managed to sort yet.
Expensive servicing (cam belts etc).
Apart from that though I love it most of the time. Previous to this car I had a mk 2 Golf Gti 16v which I loved and loved the look of and is one of the best hot hatches ever made. I...
Anyone know the capacity of the 182 FF coolant system?
I've got a 1 litre bottle of Fuchs Eskimo lying around and as I've no idea when mine was last changed I was wondering how much more I'd have to add to it if I do a change soon.
I like the colour and the novelty, but I think I would find it hard to justify 'upgrading' unless I used the difference and appreciated it constantly.
If I was buying from not already owning a Cup Packed/slightly modded 182 then it would probably be a case of heart ruling head and I wouldn't...
I try not to, but I'm often pushing it to get to work as I only live 4 miles away or so and often leave it late, but the route I take out of the village is ideal territory for the car - twisty, small, windy, hilly back roads about a mile out of the village (60 limit), with very little traffic...
I dont mind the CTR's shape, I prefer the new one, but the older one looks 'ok' to me - whereas the Clio from the front to me has a bit more presence and 182's from the back too - side profile I'm not so sure on.
