It's actually come off though, think it's split hence I want to replace it.
I've done a bit of searching and you're right though - everyone just seems to accept they do leak a bit and to keep and eye on them.
Not the best photo but it's all I could manage yesterday:
The gaitor in question is to the right on that photo, at the end of the linkage as it goes into the box.
Not sure about the 200, but on the 182 you would need the stalk adaptor - MT Audio on here sells them and also I think only Alpine head units can retain the display.
Seems a bit mixed as they seem to all have RS ones on. Some think it's still worth doing as there are gains to be had, some think it isn't.
I think it probably may be, but because you dont get the kind of improvement you do on non-RS inlets it isn't seen as being as worthwhile.
I agree, but then again that's why I'm so happy with my 192 Scorpion. Obviously it is a bit bigger at the back, however it probably doesn't stick out more than the original, plus it's actually slashed to fit in with the cut of the bumper, which the original isnt (or at least not as well)
Not...
My Scorpion 192 isn't much louder than standard - it's a bit deeper, but that's all.
Think they're about £350 new, but some of us paid £295 delivered in a group buy on here - so it's worth keeping an eye on current group buys as they normally offer a substantial saving.
I think mine were about £32 delivered off eBay.

Just had my tracking done today and when I was underneath the car I noticed there was oil coming from a split gaitor where the gear linkage goes into the gearbox. Does anyone know exactly what this is called, how much it costs and what is involved in repairing it?
LSP?
I've also got some Autoglym deep shine for dark colours or something, used it after the SRP last week and it gave a good shine, haven't got much left though so was going to try something else when it runs out, however with you mentioning using things before SRP, maybe I'll give those a...
Recently I've been trying to improve the look and paintwork on my 182. I bought some Meguiars Scratch x and used it on a few areas (results were average, but better than nothing) and also some Autoglym Super Resin Polish, which seems to be improving things after a couple of coats and has visibly...
Around 4.40pm today. Probably didn't see me as I was heading north, but I certainly saw you.
Seeing more and more of thse now, love the ones in white - think this one had either a black roof or a big sunroof (?).
Anyone tried these OMP ones on eBay?

I'm after a set now and they seem to be the cheapest on there.
Re: Possible new splitter found!!
I suppose it would, in a similar way to how we used to put the Golf Driver splitters on the back of big bumper Gti's, but I'm not sure what it would look like.
Can't comment on the handling as I never really pushed it back then as I'd just got it, but I can't understand how people back then and now say the ride didn't change, because whilst it isn't anywhere near as harsh as many of the kits I've had on different cars, it certainly stiffened up a...
Re: Possible new splitter found!!
Wasn't sure about this, but for the price I thought I'd go for it. I haven't fitted it perfectly, but it looks ok and I'm not actually sure whether I prefer this or the Cup splitter in all honesty.
Think it looks better in the flesh so to speak, but for...
Re: Possible new splitter found!!
How many screws are people using on these and its there much to cut off the splitter?
Gonna fit mine at the weekend and just want an idea.
I'm currently thinking about getting a set of matched inlets, however I'm not close to anywhere that does them to get them fitted.
I've got a fair amount of experience with cars, done the usual exhausts, brakes etc and also done the odd clutch, gearbox, sub frame etc, but I've never done more...
True. I see the 182 cup as a bit pointless as the weight difference isn't big enough (for me) to warrant missing out on the extras, where maybe the 172 Cup is.
All down to personal opinion I suppose though.
