Think this is the closest solution:-
Guys, on a level road try lifting the clutch pedal very slowly to start the car moving without giving any gas! I`m thinking it might be something to do with the fly-by throttle in some cases. Mine happens if i actually use the throttle whilst im lifting the...
Sat in traffic for nearly an hour today and I am sure this problem is getting worse! Cannot afford a CLIP test until the end of the month so any help appreciated.
Idle is very rough (missing badly) and problems only during low revs (i.e. between 500rpm and 1500rpm). No stalling though unless...
Any recommendations out of the following?

Have 2 cheapy rears tyres (tread never seems to go down!) and 2 195 width Goodyear eagles on the front.
Looking to try 205's this time round for more grip.
Thanks
Found the problem with mine, very weird sensation when full lock to left or right. Took front wheel off and lots of grease everywhere! Outer CV boot the problem!
2 Tonne (and better than some real cheapos) from Lidls for £12.
Don't shop in Lidls but found this deal on a website.
Works a treat and jacks the car up nice and high ;-)
Have the pleasure of cleaning mine tomorrow when I try and clean the grease which has spilled out.

Will these be ok? Have...
Noticed mine had grease in the same place.
Mine clunky on full lock, as it has only recently started doing this is it best to replace the shaft or get an outer cv boot repair kit?
Thanks
Same position as you, had a full home service (plugs, oil + filters) and seen mine reduce from over 38 mpg to 30 mpg with addition of matched inlet and k & n panel filter

I would miss all the extras on the FF especially with the high miles I drive daily. With the range of mods available the FF can also be pushed to high limits (obviously more expensive as it is cheap to simply lose weight).
Still, not driven a Cup so do not know what the speed differences are...
ps. I work in insurance claim industry and assume you were injured in the accident? If you were not only will you get the value for your car, a setup funded by all insurers (see MIB) allows you to pursue an injury claim in the event of an uninsured / untraced driver ;)
............well had a day off today as major roads were blocked into Exeter. Giving the car a full service and also fitting matched inlet - this is the weather I had to contend with today!
Also took out the pollen filter - cannot believe how black it was!
