Anyone have more feedback on these tyres?
I only came across that Tyre Reviews video yesterday and it would suggest they'd be a good option given the PS3 was never that highly rated and the Continental is being compared favourably with tyres newer than the PS3.
New performance options aren't...
Might be a bit late but you can get centre caps from France for a ton cheaper. I just got 4 for my Trophy-

Will be getting the wheels of my Trophy refurbished when it's going in to see @Gally at Protek in the near future so wanting to get brand new wheel bolts to match.
Has anyone bought the Kamracing ones?- https://www.kamracing.co.uk/eibach-wheel-bolts-renault-clio-mk2-rs.html
Is there anywhere...
My code reader has identified a misfire on cylinder 3 but curious if the symptoms here can point towards anything in particular before I take it to a garage-
Revs with no issue when in neutral only (no load)
Obviously misfires when trying to accelerate in any gear at low revs- happens from...
I've always had trouble with the rear discs getting grotty. Got a sticky caliper now too myself.
To actually keep them as clean as the fronts you'd have to be doing a lot of hard braking every single week. I always find before long they inevitably look crap.
Any idea where to get these at the minute?
I've got a sticky rear one so just in case it can't be freed-off I'm looking to get ahead of the curve but a lot of the usual places (ECP, carparts4less, brakeparts) list them but they're out of stock.
The old dogbone mount was polybushed and I replaced the whole thing back then- the car had a short shift kit fitted as well and it was abysmal so I wanted to get everything back to standard.
Might just get everything changed again and get the gear linkage bushes checked too. Have also noticed...
How many miles would you expect OEM mounts to last? Mine were last changed at 85k miles and the car is now on 128k miles.
Didn't realise it had been 43k miles since and have got the impression recently that the gear change is a bit sloppier than it was. Is 40k miles+ a good innings?
Looks like I'm a whipper snapper at 31. Wasn't expecting that.
Suppose they're of an age now where they attract more enthusiasts and they don't always cost pennies to keep running.
My car is needing the driver side rear replace and the garage has just been on the phone saying the ones they've ordered don't fit. They've been hearing they're no longer available but are going to phone Renault in the morning.
Can anyone shed any light on this and point me in the direction of...
Anyone?
Tried again yesterday and, without the bright sun I could see the dash clearer...the ABS light could be cleared but the SERV and traction control lights stayed illuminated.
Almost immediately came on again once moving though.
All 3 came on simultaneously and I did indeed confirm the ABS was no longer working. Managed to clear this once yesterday with a generic code reader (although it didn't actually show any fault codes) then they came back on when I hit a pothole.
Having had a quick google I see people mentioning...
As you can see/hear in the video, there's a noticeable rattle that appears for a few seconds when first depressing the clutch pedal. This then stops while the clutch pedal is still down.
Had the original clutch replaced 2 years ago at over 100k miles. If it was a release bearing would you not...
Finally got a chance to take photos of exactly what I'm talking about. The fuel gauge never used to come on with the needle showing a reading as high as that, at those miles travelled and the range showing a blank.
That looks like a cracking job.
Biggest issue I've found are bodyshops who are actually willing to cut out and replace sections of metal.
I have some bubbling in a rear arch on the Trophy, had a place in mind to use who did a lot of high end, older stuff and were used to this kind of thing and...
From Jane at BG Motorsport to me the other day-
We do strongly recommend having the struts powdercoated now providing they are in a good enough condition to withstand the process as we can no longer get new outer struts from Sachs.
