Just seen them now, it's not tape residue. It's exactly as Rich said earlier, it's been sheeted up whilst still slightly wet, then baked and the poly sheet has marked the lacquer. It will come off with a fairly aggressive compound like G3.
I think you're getting confused with the detailer's...
He may be an utter bellend, but he is good at what he does. Comes on here barging into every for sale thread telling the OP whatever it is is worth f**k all, gullible people listen and he gets the item cheap. Then fires it onto eBay at an inflated rate where more gullible people buy it off of...
If it's the same UPOL high build stuff we use at work it's meant to be mixed 4:1 with appropriate hardener, we use UPOL's stuff to go with it. You can throw in 5% thinner if you find it too thick, again we use UPOL's stuff for that.
Don't bother sanding 1 coat of high build. Get 3 good coats on it then sand. No need to sand in between. If it's proper UPOL high build stuff out a tin you're using they should be fine after that, although it's hard to say without seeing them up close.
There's no need for more than one coat of...
If the worst comes to the worst and you need it painted, you'll only need the quarter done at least. It's not close enough to the door to require blending.
If that goes through insurance they'll put it down for a new quarter which is likely to be £1200+ so possibly a write off. Makes no difference how well it drives etc it's down to the cost of the repair.
It's the damage round the wheel arch that's the main problem, the big dent in the middle...
Are there videos around of the noise this makes? I assume it sounds like God stubbing his toe on his bedpost on the way to the toilet in the middle of the night.
Aye what you need are the cornering lights from Renault, not cheap though, think £250+ for the pair, then you'd need to get an HID kit for them.
The cornering function won't work with your car as your loom doesn't have the extra plug for it, but they're shite anyway and look crap next to the...
I know it's a promo car, but it really really is f**king terrible. The chrome doesn't offend me anywhere near as much as the wheels though.
Best "different" one I've seen is the matt grey one. It's a monster too IIRC just not on a 550bhp level.
Technically it's a Ph5, there's a model of Campus they made between 55-56 plates which looks like a Ph3 but has a Ph2 front bumper on it. That's being pedantic though.
I genuinely don't like that ST as much as my own. It may grow on me however. No xenons is proper s**t though.
Also lols at getting upset about changing the blue oval, mine are white, suck it b**ches! :P
It's a bit hard to tell from pics, but I'd be wet sanding that to try and sort it, or at least minimise how much it shows. I'm a spray painter though so I don't even flinch about taking sandpaper to paintwork, if you're not all that confident take it to a bodyshop/decent detailer.
