Does anyone have any opinions on buying leads from performanceleads.co.uk, do they work ok?
And can someone tell me the best place to buy a coil pack from please apart from Renault?
Thanks
Cut away some of the plastic from the radiator fan housing while it's out of the engine. They warp due to heat and eventually cause a leak from the radiator. Take a look and it should be obvious which area should be cut away. I'd be tempted to just replace as much as possible - especially the...
Interesting read. Mine stinks a bit, too. Occasionally misfires as well. Any idea of the cost for new leads and coil pack (you'll also need a gasket for the plenum and a seal for oil breather)?
Horn issue is possibly the wiring in the wheel arch. A case of fiddle it about where it connects in three places and it will probably starting working again.
As daft as it sounds have you tried bending a bit the two little metal tabs that touch onto the battery that are inside the key. As you press the key it pushes them back and eventually they become a bit too far back to work well, so every now and again I tweak them out a bit and on mine it then...
Wierd one. My key fob stops working but if I take it apart and push the metal tabs up a little to make a better contact it seems to sort it (I try to carry the spare key around with me). If I was you I'd replace the switch and the sensor for the oil light. They shouldn't cost much from somewhere...
I cannot believe someone said it makes a Clio feel like a turbo diesel. If it did I'd sell my Clio straightaway, throw the RS Tuner into a bin and set fire to it!: eek:
This car is the antithesis of a diesel car, hell!
Dirty connectors in the rear light unit is the coause. Need to take it off, clean with electrical spray (Maplins sell it) and should be sorted (check the seal is ok, too).
Lepsoms did a good job on my 172 Oz 15'' wheels and are based just outside Bucks along the M4, in Swindon. Removed the buckles out of two of five wheels, too.
It's the manifold pressure sensor. It has an orange colour rubber bit to hold it in-place. Just try pulling and turning it to see if it will hold in place better, or wrap and elastic band or something like plumbers tape on it to try to make it fit more securely. If it was me driving to the IOW...
Cool, nice colour.
They do torque steer a bit, but I'd check the alignment, brake discs, pads and calipers for slight wear.
The electronic manual I use is dialogys. Put a request for it in the wanted section (after becoming a member) or try ebay.
The heat shields on mine were held in...
Between the throttle body and the coil pack on 172/182s and behind the plenum (inlet manifold). Has a wire connection and is held in the plenum by two bolts with 10mm heads.
The speedo is linked there on all 172/182s (apart from 172 Cup and Ph1 which have speedo drives inthe gearbox). So it could be an issue. Check your ABS rings.
Revs dropping so low that the engine will stall has often been due to a faulty ICV - idle control valve. It's all up there along with the induction. As daft as it sounds, just try taking the throttle body off and cleaning it with carb cleaner and same with the ICV.
