Slight weep of oil there is quite normal. Mine's had a leak there for the last five years (it isn't enough to cause an oil level drop between 5000 mile oil changes). Rocker cover reseal will sort it, but not worth doing that unless other work is being done on the head.

I remember a similar post to yours and it turned out to have been caused by not uncoupling part of the steering rack while lowering the subframe if I remember it properly. Try a search (heavy steering, something like that).
Warm up time can also depend on the road - I'm now almost straight out onto a dual carriageway and after v little time I'm not effected by the limiter cutting in too soon. In the past I drove along some country lanes for 5 miles then onto a dual carriageway and always the limiter cut in too...
Mine did it to, started last year and always following heavy rain. It stopped doing it when I replaced the number plate light unit which was badly corroded (I cleaned up the rear lights, too thinking it would stop it but it didn't).
I've an idea the axle bushes are pricey (just the labour). If no one else replies I'll look on dialogys this evening (probably need mine replacing too).
Clios will tend to 'track' a bit and follow the road in ways you don't want. Should be 32 front and 28 rear lbs last time I looked on dialogys. Could also be wishbone bushes on opp end of the ball joint as they tend to last for 50k.
Don't discount unusual road surfaces though as the cause -...
My plenum has some oil in it and the seal is new. It always has had some oil in there and generally my car runs sweet as. After removing the plenum though my idle always goes all over the shop. I think it's because of two things: removing the throttle cable (mine's a phase 1) always seems to...
Mine both had writing on the outside...Brembo 28...don't know what it all means, but both discs have this on. Mine also have wear indicators about 4-5mm deep. Only got 2 screws, too. Bought mine from Auto-Nation.co.uk
[... Also had a shock with one of them as it made 195 TOTALLY standard and 201 tuned! It is the most powerful 197 i have ever seen on our dyno!
Blimey, it's nice to know that. Why can't they all make what they're supposed to!
Dirty throttle body, most likely. Take it off and give it a proper clean up with some 1200 wet and dry paper, carb cleaner, engine cleaner on the spring and make sure it all feels smooth (needs a new gasket on refitting - £4 or so).
To help bump this thread along - bump
I also need a bit of stuff doing on mine (Chippenham or Swindon) - spraying work on the bumper and wing mirror and a small ding to come out the side.
Frankland Road = junc 16 and opposite the Windmill Hill business park. I work in the unusual blue and red building at the end that looks like moonbase alpha from Space 1999 (you're probably too young to remember!). Audi use it as a backdrop for PR purposes.
Cheers
A case of, where do you start? Buy a Lotus!
You'll already know that Cios are a completely diff car. The LSD makes more than just a bit of a difference. Clio Cup 172 is my best advice but even then you won't get close. IMHO it's a fruitless challenge unless you spend big bucks on coilovers...
I'm in Swindon, too at SN5 on Frankland Road. If you want to see a bad example of a phase 1 172 just look out for mine ;)
You've three choices: A ph1 (a buyers guide is available in EVO - check online on their website) it is lighter than a ph 2 and better looking, a ph 2 (it's heavier enough...
I get the same noise you describe with mine (same car as yours BTW). Also had ARB Bs replaced. I still suspect it's an ARB issue - some wear somewhere (!). Just can't think what else it can be, corrosion on the ARB, slightly bent ARB? I'm tempted to replace it and see if that fixes it. A...
Who by? The shocks have no replacement parts (apart from the nut and bolt, and a funny rubber cap for the boot). The springs though have an upper and lower rubber support (they cost £42 each!) maybe that's what they mean.
Euro car parts sell a kit. Includes a set of bearings and rubber doughnuts. £28 I think it was (I got the kit about 2 months ago sorry can't remember exact price) - and they fit right (unlike the GSF version!). Renault charge about £52 +VAT each side for a kit, it includes a four piece set with...
