Can i use paint thinners (white spirits) on the neddle to release any blockages that may be causing it? Ill use switch cleaner on the contacts too but would imagine its some greese or sommat causing an obstruction. Cheers.

Ive heard all a sticky dial needs is some paint thinner on the niddle spindle to get rid of anything stopping it moving freely. What does every1 else think?

WRONG, didnt even ask if it had ABS so it cant be invalid if i choose not to use the optional unit anyway IMO. Anyway, its not rocket science to put a fuse back in, plus im sure theyd rather me have brakes that work rather than some that could quite easirly total my car! If i went to Reno...

I think damo16vs got it. Yeah a plastic gaurd near the sump plug has oil on it on my 16v. The mechanic said i may have a leak but i said as u have that it dont leave puddles or use a massive amount of oil! RobRTE or any other expert know of this common fault? Cheers.

Could be an oil leak but i dont get any puddles on the road & oil level stays constant with a normal de-cline IMO.

ABS fault so if ABS aint engaging (fuse out) then it should be sweet. Must say this is the first time the ABS has kicked in & basically COMPLETELY not worked.

Any1 used this stuff? Does it quieten valve noise? Any side-effects? Cheers.

My rear passenger side brake seems to make a crrrrrrr noise now. Something between pad & disc? :confused:

ALWAYS dumb downs no matter what u do with clutch pedal in my experiance, but if youve got better lower torque than a standard 16v then it should probably work.

I thought ur timing belt was ur cam belt on a 16v? :confused:

Injector cleaner, perhaps? Check all ignition componants too.

Did u uprate ur clutch when u had a new 1? I think its alright for the clutch in small moderation. As long as ur not donutting/genrally ragging it & dumping clutch on high revs by dropping a gear, etc.

Boot lock looks fine IMO, but door locks need to be binned for a smart looking 16v.

The Scorpion Xorst comes with strange hangers which cant be adjusted. They kinda hag for rubber strips from the under body to the Xorst. Im gonna get a quote for new hangers to pull it right up & into the slots in which the heat shields are posistioned so i can lower it slightly more when i...

Came up to a junction with lights on red and went to press the brake when foot went to floor :o with ease & brakes worked VERY slowly (if at all) & thought i was gonna go into this junction! ABS was giving feedback to pedal but the brakes just worked very slowly with no power and brake pedal had...

Not engine oil but more like lubricant oil when at high speeds or given a bit of grieve. I thought is was the warm clucth but a mate reckons its probably oil burning on a hot water pipe or something. Any1 elses the same? Any thoughts? Cheers.

Do you have to give it an oil change though? :cry: There must be down sides to the valve treatment aswell IMO.
