Humm. Hows about your 16v? There is a LOT more space between wheel and arch at the rear though, so would have thought the front would look comparitvly too low if each end is lowered by the same amount. :confused:

When warm it can still be heard though. Not as bad as the first few secs when cold though, but im sure its nothing damaging for my engine! Just a pain really. :cry: It sounds like a healthy tapping BTW not tinny or grinding just not exactly silent.

Electrical contacts with the gauge i think. Ull need a Renault gauge of a similar year (16vs prob use the same adapter) to conect it with the R5 oil pressure sensor lead i think.

I know all this lads & agree, i will get some 195s when i need some new 1s. Im expecting slight reduction in body roll, quicker cornering at higher speeds & it being slightly more likely to slide in the wet.plus heavier steering, but the 50 side wall will still not look as low profile as id...

Gearbox could be on its way then as my mates R5 did it and it cracked soon after. Maybe something minor too though.

Clutch cable needs adjusting to pull the clutch plate out further maybe? Gearbox fluid?

Bruns post is a bit ambitious though! I had a race with a 172 last night & they are quick but a Scooby (turbo obviously) is in a different league if every 1 was being honest.

R u using Magnetex? Mine has really quietend down since the new Mobil 1 oil & filter. The oil presure stays very high until warm & responds quicker and much more livelier to revs & sounds healthier too.

All good! Every 1 with a 16v seems to have it so im not worried. Think i might get the Reno stamp for my next service so i can be 100 percent. Cheers.

Could be seen as an increased tendency to slide under cornering though. Sorry, just like being akward. ;)

Fu*kin ask the 16v designer! Ur probably right, but im telling you theres a reason for everything, so there must be 1 for the 16v having 185 standard tyres, if its purely costs (which i doubt) then ill get 195s next time i need new tyres for my phase 2 alloys! Does this satisfy u Steve?
