Any pc users having fps issues, stuttering etc try unparking all cores on your cpu. Think its aimed at i7's with hyper threading, but tried it with my 2500k and the games alot smoother now. Really simple to do, heres the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkfIFP0g2xY#t=46
Edit* When i...
Having some fps issues with this. The beta ran perfectly smooth for me with some settings on ultra and the rest on high. Now though, with same settings im getting like half the fps as i was getting in the beta :/
Need to sort this out as im not enjoying it as much as the beta.
You can get refurbed H100's from ocuk, scan do them aswell iirc, for around £45.
I'm using the Fractal Design Arc Midi R2. Great case for the price and can hold 6x 140mm/120mm fans. Its got good cable management, can hold a 360 and 240mm radiator straight out of the box, easily removed dust...
Had a face palm moment last night. Realised i'd pre ordered the premium exp pack instead of the base game :headno:
5 mins in EA customer support live chat and refund was sorted then pre ordered the base game!
Not sure on the Samsung listed above, or the Panasonic now tbh.
We dont need a smart TV as our blu-ray player is a smart box. So was looking at this: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-dvd-blu-ray/televisions/large-screen-tvs-32-and-over/samsung-ue50f6100-3d-50-led-tv-21339113-pdt.html. Anyone...
For a grand, no more. Preferably 55", 3D and with all the smart TV stuff. Would like good sound quality also as we don't use speakers atm.
Can get a Panasonic Viera TX-L55ET60B for a grand, installed and calibrated, but just wondering if there's anything better for that price?
Shortest route possible is best mate. Aslong as it goes Res > Pump it doesn't matter one bit what comes next. A lot of people think its best to have the radiator before the cpu or gpu block, but it doesnt. After a while the temps will level out no matter where the radiator is in the loop...
Does the 540 not come with filters then? If not then your looking close to £200 for the case and filters then :S.
My days of spending £££££ on cases is well over. I cringe when i think back to spending nigh on £500 for a Mountain Mods case direct from MM themselves.
Had a Corsair AX750 that died on me. Corsair warranty is very good though. They told me to just send the unit back and they replaced it with a new unit + cables etc.
But the cheaper units tend to be poo, especially ones that are branded as "Gaming PSU's".
Dunno why your not going with that...
I know Asrock have upped their game in the last couple of years, but i'd still choose the MSI or Giga board over the Asrock one. Probably the MSI would edge it personally, never had a problem with any MSI stuff.
Watch out for ridiculous coil whine on the 7990 though, apparently they are bad...
Antec make some good units .
The Corsair 750D is cheaper than the Elysium! Looks far better IMO and can hold 360mm, 240mm radiators easy.
But your call i guess :p Whatever you go with, good luck with it, should be a capable build for a few years.
Yup, OCZ psu's in general are pretty poor.
Still going for the Elysium? I had one, won in a comp, and while it has bags of room, its a pretty ugly case imo, not the best made thing either.
The XFX is better than that Corsair unit. The Corsair one is a rebranded CWT psu, which are no where near as good as Seasonic. For a fiver more i'd go for the XFX one anyday.
:banghead: That psu is garbage, double 12v rails is not what you want, trust me.
You dont need 850w man. 750w is giving you plenty of headroom, even 650w is enough if its a good psu.
That XFX one i linked is a high quality power supply, you would be far wiser spending a bit more on a...
Don't just judge a psu by its wattage. You need one with plenty of amps on a single 12v rail. You could get away with a good 650w psu, but just for a bit more headroom this is a good psu...
Amazes me when people assemble a build worth ££££££££££'s and skimp on a power supply. Probably the most vital part of a build! Buy a cheap one and it blows, theres a high possibility it could take everything else in the pc with it!
I saw your post about it on the specialtech forums :p Used to be a regular there, now just a lurker. Did you raise a ticket with them? Best way of contacting them really.
So thats what that was! I was spamming fire in the tanks all the time, then thinking "why wont you fire ffs!!!!!"
But the tanks are pretty lame imo, or were in the beta, much more fun on foot. Also hate those nobbers who just ***** tanks.
If you really wanna go for it, i would suggest the Corsair Carbide 540 case. Looks better then the Elysium, can hold enough radiators for watercooling and has plenty of space for a tidy build. Not to mention a fair bit cheaper also.
Re: STOLEN: CLIO 182 M555 JEH
Jesus, think i was looking through your build log only yesterday. Hope you get it back asap and that the f*****s die a horrible death.
