The cooksports with new dampers have aleviated most, if not all body roll on my 182. Difference i feel is pretty staggering, although i was running with a cracked front drivers side spring ^^
I mean the covers that slot over the slider, the shiney shaft (ooo er) that compresses into the shock body.
However, i will check to see if the bump stops have been fitted aswell. Are they fitted to the top or bottom, so i know where to look.
Cheers.
Blue V6, only caught a small glimpse as it came past me the other way, never the less, it looked fecking amazing, love the V's. Spotted top of Bedlington about 5pm
Red 197 spotted top of Forest Hall/West Moor about 4:40 pm.
Thought trophy turinis had a narrower stance?
Think i sorted it anyway. Took the wheels off and used some self tappers and washers to screw down that bulge.
Rather than start a new thread i noticed that the dust covers havent been fitted to the new front dampers. Are they essential?
So i had my Cooksports fitted yesterday, along with new dampers. Took it for a spin and noticed the front tyres rubbing on the arch liners, mainly on full lock left and right. Got home and had a look and the tyres are catching on this bit (first pic in step 2, bit that bulges out)...
Just had the inlet manifold off to seal up a couple of bolts that were weeping oil a little bit. Anyway, i noticed a bit of oil in the opening on the pic. Is it normal? The oil was still wet.
They are mate, for sure. My bro has a silver 1.6 clio and his sills are black and look pretty much invisible from a few metres away. Quite tempted to do them black, but will more than likely go with oem look.
So the schutz wont need any prep work, i.e light rub down before applying it?
Yeh mate the actual sills where the jacking points are. Looking at the car side on from a few metres away, they stick out like a sore thumb, look terrible.
So Schutz is paintoverable, thats great. Have a day off on fri so hopefully the weather is ok to get this done.
Thanks.
Finally found out what you meant :p Schutz underseal.
Anyway, after reading up a bit on underseals etc i dont think i'll bother. Think i'll just rub them down, prime them then spray them.
Unless someone else has a different idea?
My sills look really tatty and spoil the look of my car. Whats the best stuff to paint them with? My brother reckons underseal, my dad reckons some anti stonechip paint. Is there anything better than those suggestions?
Thanks.
Thinking of doing this soon. Will i need the cup wishbones with more castor or standard wishbones for my FF 182?
Also thinking of maybe buying 2nd hand wishbones and polybushing them, good idea, or just get new oem ones?
