Cheers Lee. Is that the same h/u im looking at? And what about the ipod interface? How hard will that be to fit? Also my cup 172 is a 53 plate so id hope they would have some interface cables for the dash and steering wheel remote.

Im thinking about buying the Alpine 9853R, the ipod interface KCA420i and the interface cables for the dash display and the steering wheel remote in my 172 cup. How hard would this job be to do? Would I have to take the whole car to bits to fit it? Here is the product im thinking about...

I got my 12,000 mile service for £100 !! The guy said it was expensive enough running my car so he gave me a big discount! Very happy!

Best was a 15.1 :oops: But it was my first ever 1/4 mile event and it was roasting! Think with a better launch and conditions i could get into the 14s quite easily! *Modesty*;) LMFAO And it is completely standard, straight from the showroom! It was great fun too, what a buzz to drive...

Yeah they are quality upgrades from what ive heard!;) Id be eating 1200bhp skylines on the 1/4 mile with their help! ;)

Technically though the cup should get better mpg than the std 172 and 182 because of the reduced weight to shift around!;) Fraser

Well my cup wasnt as far off as I thought and that was my first ever quarter mile so i could have def have improved on my launches. I think rather than modding my car I might buy a westfield megabusa new for £15000 which can do 0-60 in 3.4 secs and 0-100 in 7!! ;) Fraser

Yeah it was roasting. I saw one other cup but that was it. A mate from work took me up the strip in a dark coloured soarer with gold wheels. It was "slightly" faster than mine!;) What times did everyone else get? And what mods have been done?

I got a 15.1 at 95 mph! I was wanting 14s but i was also wanting to take my car home in one piece! A guys engine blew that I was racing! DOH!

Well i started in the 16s.... But that was with missing a gear and setting my tyres on fire at the start line! Got steadily faster and faster!

Ive just come back from crail and had a shot on the 1/4mile. What sort of times should you be able to get with a completely standard 172 cup? Just want to see if I did any good before I tell you my time! Fraser
